Why is solarock psy/roc. It should be psy/fir!!!!!!

And why lunatone is orc/psy. It should be dar/roc!!!!!!!!!!

This is a problem...

Nintendo wants it that way. There are other examples too. Like Gyarados. It should be part Dragon instead of flying, especially since it does not get a single Flying attack at all (not counting HP:Flying).

Same kind of thing with Pinser. It should be part FTG since it has like all these FTG attacks but it is just Bug---without any Bug Attacks.

Some of us have thought that well maybe they made them like that so as not to have them be too powerful but IDK.

I'd like to have one pure Dragon type. And some other comnbinations too. We'll see what they come up with in the new future versions.

Basically, Lunatone and Solrock are both classed as meteorite Pokemon. And meteorites are rocks that fall to Earth from outer space, hence Lunatone and Solrock's classification as Rock Types. Their names derive from the fact that Solrock is a rock shaped like a sun and Lunatone is a stone shaped like a crescent moon.

I don't know why their secondary Type is Psychic, but I suspect that Type was chosen to give them a "science-fictiony" air.

Pinsir is only given all those fighting moves cuz there isn't exactly an impressive array of bug attacks for him to learn; i love pinsir, leave the bug/fighting to heracross! like even tho he doesn't learn bug attacks (megahorn :( ) the pure bug-type still makes him unique i guess.

...i've always wanted charizard to be Dragon/Fire

For Solrock and Lunatone, they need the "Rock" part (since they're...rock...)

But it would be somewhat reasonable if Solrock is Rock/Fire and Lunatone Rock/Dark...

For Pinsir...they should at least let it learn Fury Cutter (by itself)...

And for Gyrados,

Gust or Aeroblast will be good

how could it gust?

Aeroblast is c001. Too bad only Lugia can get it

it needs to lean Aerial Ace. :(

Hmm, 1, 2, 16 exclamation marks, must be very desperate.

I agree that Gyrados should be part dragon, and that Pinsir should learn more than just... that lousy cutter move, Megahorn would be good on it. Pinsir has such good attack, what a waste.

But as for Solrock and Lunatone, Rule 1 in Pokemon, you can only have up to 2 types. They had to choose 2 out of the ones they could have picked, but they're more rock and psychic looking than anything else, regardless of the moves they learn.

sometimes i wish pokemon could have three types, that would definitely help in certain situations. gyarados should definietly be water/flying/dragon IMO.

It could also hurt in situations too. think of a fire/rock/ground. that's like a 6X weakness to water.

I also would like a nice pure Dragon. That looks kinda mean (Ala Slamence)and not so fantasy-la-di-da (Ala Dragonite) It should be more Special attack oriented too.Almost all the dragons are Physical. And I need something to use Dragon Claw with STAB.
*looks at above comments*Man,i'm a LOT More picky than I thought.. O.o

If you made Gyaradoes Dragon/Water it would be 2x weak to dragon type moves only. That would make the standard set nearly oober. It has a good type mix for balance purposes. Yes, Nintendo did jip us again by not making a pure, final evolution, powerful dragon type pokemon.

Solrock would blow with a Rock/Fire type mix, that would make it have a 4x weakness to the most common type in the game, water. Right now it is a decent pokemon to use.

Yeh Charizard should be Fire/Dra/Fly

And Rayqua should be Steel/Dra/Fly

THAT'S POWERFUL!

or Groudon Fire/Steel?Ground

solrock fire/rock? we already saw what happened when magcargo was made... and about "using dragon claw with STAB" there are already dragon types that use Dragon Claw. salamence, rayquaza and lati@s all give it STAB for example.

its kinda Like the fossil pokemon. They live under water and are part water yet they are weak to water?Makes no sense. But yeah they are fossils and its understandable why they are part rock.
Gyarados as a dragon/water would make it really cheap
