I figure this might come in handy for those of us attending pre-release/Launch parties. So share your ideas and help each other out; discuss what you think should be played and what should be avoided, colour combinations, whatever.
So, what do people think looks good?

Blue doesn't seem super strong in this set until it hits late game, probably better mixed with another color.
It's Counterspell are bad, it's bounce with flashbacl is actually pretty decent.
Green looks strong just because it's creatures are well rounded in early mid and late game while being huge as well.
White and Black are gonna be go to colors just because it's removal, though it's removal sucks in mirror somewhat.
Red's removal and reach is pretty good, while not Zendikar good, it's good to see it;s early game and reach is pretty good this time. Plus it's removal isn't conditional with being human, werewolf etc. where it can actually hit them.
The lands, all the special ability lands are good and almost first pick, not the milling one, they will win you games, W/U gives your creatures double duty, R/B is burn reach to end the game, R/G making anything even a 1/1 a threat with enough mana, G/W is Ajani and is disgusting if you got a filled board.
Pretty much, 4 colors look fine, Green looks really strong with any of W/B/R used for removal, Blue doesn't look that great outside of a a very select few cards.

Nephalia Drownyard is easily first pick worthy. The blue curse and Dream Mist are common so mill is doable.
There counterspells are good too. It sucks that Dissipate is a uncommon but Lost in the Mist is a good substitute. It's basically Boomerang + Cancel. A couple of Selhoff Cultist and Sticher's Apprentice and you got a good mill engine. For this set, blue is more aggressive than control so you benefit more if you are as well.
Green is definitely good. Festerhide Boar, Ambush Viper and the new Rootwalla are good common critters. Grizzled Outcasts got a nice body for 5 mana and it's a bonus when they flip. Prey Upon is pretty much the best green common to use because it's a removal and morbid enabler.

Honestly, I expect to see some UB Zombie action, some RG Werewolf action, and maybe some BR vampire decks. WG humans is probable as well, but it concerns me how a lot of humans focus on what your opponent has. As always, Limited=diverse.

Wen't to Pre-Release and went 3-1 in both Sealed and Draft running a Red/black Vampire deck (Sealed had lord of linage while draft was only common and uncommon cards), their low cost with their +1/+1 after attacking (enchant with gruesome deformity for added protection) really can pack a quick punch (I beat one guy in 5 turns dealing 6 damage every turn starting on three using Diregraph ghoul, fury of the bitten, and vampire interloper). For sealed you go with what you get, but in Draft I'd highly recommend going vampires, their quicker than werewolves, run great no matter how many you have, and have black and red as a color, which include a lot of the removal cards you will be seeing in the set. Also, in case you were wondering the only two decks I lost to were black red decks with Olivia (only card that can stop this deck cold).
P.S. Posting this for people getting ready for the Launch this Weekend.

I attended a Launch last night. Seemed like the popular cards of the night were Curse of the Bloody Tome, Trepanation Blade, Curse of the Pierced Heart, and Dream Twist (so, in case you didn't catch on, mostly mill.)
I went 1/3 due mostly to the first two, even though in my last loss I was lucky that only lands were revealed from T-Blade.
The popular deck, however, was either RG werewolves or RB vampires. Myself, I ran RG werewolves with Stromkirk Noble and Daybreak Ranger leading the charge (wishing I pulled a Mayor of Avabruck instead). Like I stated, I went 1/3, if only because I was unlucky to not pull a T-Blade myself. But, it was still fun.

From how I have been seeing it in drafting and playing sealed, it seems like X/White is the best way to go.
White has so many flying creatures, pump spells, removal, and can curve into insanity.
In the draft I did on Monday, I went 3-0 in my draft pod with green/white humans. It had a few good removal cards, good pumps by either travel preparations, butchers cleaver, or the elder who wants to die as well as Mikaeus.

Hello I'm new to MTG and I want to make a Blue Zombie deck with Black Sorcery, Instants, and Auras. But I don't know what the aim of my deck should be, whether I should go with discarding cards to the graveyard and try to win using Laboratory Maniac, or discard powerful blue zombies to the grave to bring them back using black sorcery and instants. What other cards in Innistrad would help me?

What format are you building it in?

Constructed Block. I thought Sealed and Draft would be too hard for me since you have to make a deck out of packs, where as constructed you have the time to look at card effects and see whats good or not. But I read the format guide and it says that Sealed is easier for new players.

I think the self mill deck with the huge zombies while having Maniac as back up plan is the way to go.

I may as well ask this here, since it is related.
I am actually attending a PTQ this weekend that focuses on the Sealed Limited format, with Innistrad being the set we will use. I have never been to a PTQ, let alone a Sealed one.
How different is Sealed in PTQ? Are there any limits in terms of side decking? What should I expect? Any tips to keep in mind?

MM one can not really answer that QU for you as valhalla has never been to a PTQ before. Will be attending my first on the 12 in Honolulu that I will, Have however played in lots of Sealed Limited format's.... would think one major differance would be in the number of people/atmosphere and over all ramped up emotions ETC.
Also one of the best things I can say is get your self familiar"or better still know the set's you will be making your decks out of thoroughly IE have a good understanding of witch cards in said set will be best suited for meshing but more to the point best for your playing style" and most of all stay focused.
Might give these a read..... hope some of them help you out???/
