Okay, my friend has Sapphire, and she would like help with her team. This is an in-game team for link battles with noobs. When you make suggestions, please try to refrain from suggesting Hidden Power as much as possible unless absolutely necessary.

Okay, here's the team:

---------------------------------
Hoenn League:

Magneton@Leftovers
Magnet Pull
Modest/252HP/252SA/6Df
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Metal Sound
-Substitute
This guy is used to counter the Metagross that tend to show up around her area. My friend also believes it's one of the better electric-types around, and probably the best obtainable electric-type in the game.

Alakazam@Petaya Berry
Synchronize
Timid/6HP/252SA/252Sp
-Psychic
-Ice Punch
-Thunderpunch
-Recover
My friend loves to pull off the unexpected. A Recovering Zam will throw just about anybody for a loop. She's thinking about replacing this guy for a Trick-Banding Grumpig, but neither of us know the first thing about trick-banding.

Torkoal@Leftovers
White Smoke
Relaxed/252HP/129Df/129SD
-Heat Wave
-Iron Defense
-Amnesia
-Explosion
Torkoal is, in my friend's opinion, the cutest fire-type of them all. She's right there, but he's also one of the weakest. She doesn't care. She found a use for it, and that use is annoyance.

Swampert@Choice Band
Torrent
Adamant/252HP/252At/6Sp
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Brick Break
-HP[Bug]
HP[Bug] may not be as good as HP[Flying], but it still works just the same. It's also useful as a psychic-type counter--namely my Gardevoir.

Breloom@Liechi Berry
Effect Spore
Brave/252HP/252At/6Df
-Focus Punch
-Sludge Bomb
-Leech Seed
-Spore
Spore-Punching pwnz j00! And me, too... >.<

Armaldo@Liechi Berry
Battle Armor
Adamant/252HP/252At/6Df
-Ancientpower
-Earthquake
-Metal Claw
-Swords Dance
She took one look at Anorith, and her heart just melted. She thought that little thing was so cute. That is, until it evolved. Then she figured WTH, and used it as a physical sweeper. She's got vicious good luck with AP's stat boost.

To anybody who saw this before I edited this thread, Cacturne was a typo. It's supposed to be Breloom. Error fixed.

Pretty good team your friend has got there, though I suggest replacing Magneton with Manectric.
wow... a water type with no water move... surf is needed on swampert because breloom already has Brick Break w/ some STAB.
Steel Wing is stronger than Metal Claw.
I am not going to get rid of HP on swampert, because it's a good move, and also to torture you.

She thinks Magneton's better, and I can't convince her otherwise.
Swampy's a choice-bander, he shouldn't have any special moves on him. She's thinking of sticking Focus Punch onto Breloom over Brick Break, so that'll remedy your problem with that.
I don't think Armaldo can learn Steel Wing.

Well, perhaps I'm missing something, but I'm sure Metagross's Earthquake is a guaranteed OHKO on Magneton, so I'm not sure how Maggie counters it. Unless no one uses Earthquake on Metagross anymore...0_o;;;
She might want HP Grass (if she can get it) on that Magneton, since it can't touch Rhydon, and stuff like that. I like Metal Sound though.

Zam is ok, but she could use Calm Mind over Ice Punch.

I don't see that Torkoal set working at all. I mean, why tank up and then just explode when it gets low on health? That's just...0_o;;;
In this case, Flamethrower should be there, because she'll need the PP.
Give it Yawn, Toxic, and Protect, for some crappy Toxishuffling.

Hrm, CB Swampert could be somewhat interesting.
Swampy's EQ already does more damage to your Gardy than a super effective HP Bug 70 would.
100*1.5 > 70*2
But hey, HP Bug would be better for killing Claydol.

Swords Dance/Substitute over Seed would be cool on Breloom, and if she can get it, HP Ghost. I'd say max speed (Jolly) and use Salac on Breloom, so if you're not playing by sleep clause, she can pwn your whole team with a 393 speed Spore.

Armaldo is great because it can learn KNOCK OFF. ^_^
Metal Claw sucks, so drop it for KNOCK OFF. ^_^
I'd say Rock Slide is better than Ancientpower.

Oh, if Breloom is owning you with 393 speed Spore, train an Aerodactyl and catch her by surprise.
Tell your friend I said good luck, and that I hope she continues to pwn you. No hard feelings, InterFed_OV, but I would naturally support a female player, since there aren't many of them. =)
