If you want a salamence for sp attack, then give it a sp at move over ArialAce. if you want a phis attacker, then give it:
ArialAce
brick break
rock slide?
e-quake or another strong move if you cant get E-quake

Umm,Venusaur1, unless you are Rarehunter as well, why are you responding to the suggestions instead of the person who started this post?! This prolific posting is getting pretty annoying...

Hi RareHunterX. Don't get discouraged. Besides skill, ther is also luck involved. I had a similar team (Registeel, Latios, and Slaking) based on poster HOundoom Revenge's BT team. (If you want to see the exact team iwth the movesets just look at the end of the "Battle Tower Strategies" post on the Help thread).
Anyway, My first try I got up to 84 or something and lost. My second try I got to 90something and lost. Same thing for my third try. I felt like screaming.
But I didn't give up. Finally, on my fourth try, I made it to 105 wins. So don't give up.
Now, how are you losing? Is it always to the same type of pokemon (like steels or exploders or OHKOers) or is it different each time? That's important. If after you lose you say 'Geez I was so stupid I should have done blah blah blah' well then you learned something for next time. If you lose and say "well carp I couldn't have done anything about that no matter what" then it was just bad luck.
In other words, try to figure out the reason you are losing and then if it something you can chnage then change it. But if it is just bad luck the only thing you can do is hang in and go for it again.
Winners never quit. Quitters never win.
Sorry for such a long post, I'm only trying to help.

He is doing this to help the poster. By commenting on what he percieves as a flaw in someone's suggested moveset, he is helping the original poster by making sure he doesn't do something that may be a bad choice.

..yeah i got up to 84 wins once ...then lsot to my own stupidty
at the moment i've been using Salamence and Latias along with slaking for the first 50 Battles....its the baad luck i end up hving..and i hven't quit i'm gonna get to 100 wins if its the last thing i do.... if only i had soul dew for latias..she'd be alot better but i still use her .though with salamence she's been useful together they hve all atks...needed ice, water, psychic , dragon, fire...
and people or the love of God read the post carefully otherwise u'd know i hven't got earthquake cuz i've said so at bottom

Good. I'm happy that you are not giving up. Ok, here's a couple tips that I learned the hard way when I had that team.
Be careful with choice band. You never want Slaking to be your last pokemon. Use him in lead. His attack is so high that with Choice band you'll be abe to OHKO many different pokemon. The problem is that if you run out of PP (like I did with Hyper Beam), you will start to struggle even if your other 3 moves have full PP. I lost that way the first time when I was fighting with this team, to the 84th or whatever trainer, because I was so stupid I didn't know that that is what would happen. (I don't know if you were aware of that or not but now you know.) The whole idea with Slaking+choice band is to gain an advantage like 3 vs. 2 ,or 3 vs. 1, by KOing them first. It is easy to over-rely on using Hyper beam I found, so just remember what I said. You don't want him out last because then you'll be stuck (won't be able to switch out to change the move).
The second Slaking thing is I had brick break in that fourth slot and that worked well so if you still need a good move you can try it.
With my Latios, I ended up replacing recover with surf because I was having trouble killing the BT metagross and registeels, and even though Surf isn't axactly like SE, it did do decent enough damage. With no haxer or psuedo-hazer, you don't want to let their Regitank get fully tanked up or you'll have the ' battle from hell' and struggle out.
Got Aspirin?
Nest tip is to try and take out the exploders and OHKOers as quick as you can. That is why I recently added lists of these pokemon to the ROLES post in the Help thread. This is another place where luck comes into play big time.
With Registeel, I had toxic also, and would have the simple strategy of tanking up and watching toxic get their HP down. I know of two other posters that used this team and both said that REST is a good alternative to toxic. But I really like poisoning them a lot. It takes longer but can really be effective. You may want to max out your metal claw PP too.
Got PP-Max?
My last tip is this: With your Registeel, use amnesia first if you are facing a pokemon that mostly uses Specials, and Curse first otherwise. After you stat-up once, toxic them and then tank up. If you can get fully tanked (6 curses and 3 amnesias for most Lv 50 Regitank) and they don't have a hazer of some kind you should be darn near unstoppable.
Wheh! That was a lot of posting! I hope some of it can help you get to 100 wins. Remember that no matter what, luck still plays a big part. Don't get discouraged. If you've already got to 80-something before with this team, I believe you can get to 100. Just keep at it.
Got Persistence?

Hyper beam with my slaking has been suprisingly very accuate it has only missed oncee soo afr out the 70 battles i've won...so far i've been using.. registeel agaisnt the dragons/psyhics such as Lati@s etc...but if i'm sure my team is okay ..i will end in slakin with shadow balls to tkae them out..i added protect instaed of curse..just testing..cuz since i bascailly messed up on Registeel's Ev traing..its seems to do well...but i may add back curse soon..i they keep using Lati@s's alot i should hve no problem beating them...
so far i'm at 70 wins..and as u said shiney...thats what i useally do..is use Amnesia to tank up..the toxic...then curse up then metal claw or send.. my slaking to finish them off.quick...cuz he's soo powerful

Sorry rarehunterx... :( I shouldn't have used ur post like that. These look like some good tips for the Battle Tower. I myself am trying to put a team together, but I don't quite have the good enough know-how to make a perfect team...

think about using regice - i've used regice (rest, toxic, ice beam, amnesia/thunderbolt/double team), latias, and salemence pretty successfully (and at times pretty lucky too) - max PP is a good point - i've found brightpowder to be useful too as a hold item - consider fly over aerial ace on salamence (though this depends on how you are handling DTers - most DTers are special mavens that i use regice and a quick toxic to handle)

i would use Regice but Registeel is more useful to me cuz he's stong agsint psychic, dragon, and exploder's
at the moment i'm at 91 wins now..higest evr for me..what i fail to see is how my slakin couldn't take out latias with shadow ball...he has a 228 atk +choice band plus it is super effective but it didn't knock it out?
