Hey guys, some of you probably remember me, I used ot be quite active on the old DppT forums and I was quite competitive, I ran a Sunny Day Team in UU and a Psych up team in OU, both were quite effective, the latter getting me my invite to the world VCG (In Doubles-Mode) in 09' Anyways, I have not really picked up the ds since then I purchased Pokemon Black last week and have finished it and a lot of the Unova Pokedex and I was wondering if perhaps you guys could catch me up on the Meta? My laptop doesn't wanna connect to Smogon, so if someone could give me the ban-list that would be amazing!

I can't link the banlist since you can't get onto Smogon, but:
Items:
All items that increase Evasion (BrightPowder, Lax Incense)
Moves:
All moves that increase Evasion only (Double Team, Minimize)
All instant OHKO moves (Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Sheer Cold)
Abilities:
Moody
Drizzle + Swift Swim on the same team
Species:
Arceus
Blaziken
Darkrai
Deoxys-A
Deoxys
Dialga
Garchomp
Giratina
Giratina-O
Groudon
Ho-Oh
Kyogre
Lugia
Manaphy
Mewtwo
Palkia
Rayquaza
Reshiram
Shaymin-S
Zekrom
As for the meta, it's not pretty.
Four words to sum it up: It's a weather war. As sad and unfortunate as it is, it's a weather war, mainly between Rain and Sand, although Sun gets a few jabs here and there. If you're familiar with the Dream World, you might know why, but if not, thanks to this special B/W feature, Politoed and Ninetales get Drizzle and Drought respectively as Dream World abilities. It's like a page out of Romeo and Juliet, with rain being the Montagues, sand being the Capulets, and Verona being the meta. We have stuff like Thundurus, Excadrill, Ferrothorn, Landorus, Gliscor, Jirachi, and the Latis dominating under weather (heck, Toxicroak made it to OU due to rain being so prevalent). Basically, the top pokes right now are those that can abuse weather the best as well as provide decent checks to weather abusers.
Feel free to throw out any other questions you might have.

Thanks so much for the list! and woah the meta has made a serious change for the worse.. Good job with the Romeo & Juliet Comparison! :)
Do any cloud nine pokemon get a run or have they proven futile?

Not so much, because the three Pokemon proven with Cloud Nine (Golduck, Altaria, and Lickilicky) aren't that good. I have heard of Altaria being used on anti-meta teams now, though, so that might be something to look into.

Yeah I have always been a huge fan of both Anti-Meta teams and Lickylicky so we will see how it goes! :) Thank you!

D/W ruined everything. Heck Smogons tier list sucks now.The main point of the game is to kill the other guys ninetails/t-tar/toed. while keeping your own alive.
