there was a thread a while back on "if you could give any pokemon any ability, what would you give it?" naturally, i chose to put wonder guard on sableye :p . now that you've heard this intro, you probably know where i'm going with this.

start with shedinja and a skill swapper. skill swap with shedinja. then let your opponent kill off shedinja. switch to sableye, then put wonder guard on sableye.

if you can pull this off, you will have the ultimate tank/annoyer/unbeatable thing. :eek: then you want to bring out something with safeguard, to protect yourself from toxic/WoW.

in case your wondering, i just thought this up, so feel free to poke a major hole in it if you can think one up.

then yur screwed. duh. :P nothing can withstand the perishtrapping. but if you make them resort to those measures, then you are using a good strategy.

and to jolteonjak down there:

that is the kind of major flaw that i'm talking about. i was reasonably sure someone would present some fact that rendered this completely ineffective...

not many people use foresight, but i guess a few do...

I read somewhere that Wonder Guard cannot be Skill Swapped...

Besides...all you gotta do to take Sableye out is use Foresight with a Fighting-type Pokemon.

Wonder Guard cannot be Skill Swapped, Traced, or Role-Played. Same goes for Forecast.

Shame that Forecast can't be copied because IMO it's pretty cool. Anyone could see why really. What is the sun/rain/ice form of a Alakazam/Gardevoir/Porygon2 whatever? That's a question nobody can answer. Sorta

I think "Struggle" can hit Shedinja (Wonder Guard) too...
But I'm not sure...

Struggle can hit any pokemon. It doesn't take type into account so it can't be SE or resistant.

Yes. And it is possible to get a CH with struggle too.

any form of recoil kills shedinja

sorry, i'd never heard that it couldn't be skill swapped. oh well... :(

We aren't talking about if shedinja used it; we are talking about if it was used offensively against it.

Foresite makes Ghosts weak to Fighting, I think. Stuggle can hit Ghosts, but I don't know if it can hit through Wonderguard.

Foresight just makes ghost hittable when using normal or fighting attacks. The reason it would be SE against Sableye is because it is also dark. Struggle can hit any pokemon, including Shedinja even though it has Wonder Guard. Struggle is meant to be a last resort move and having a pokemon immune to it violates this, besides I have hit a Shedinja before with Struggle.
