I didn't even know they had Pokemon games for PS2.. and I'm doubtful they do. Nintendo holds the rights to all Pokemon games, so that means that they'll all be coming out on Gameboy or Gamecube.

Pokemons gone kids, besides maybe 1 more on the game cube, and maybe another set of 2 on the GB, they aren't gonna make any more Pokemon Video Games, and definetly no more on Major Consoles.

Moron. Ruby/Sapphire and Firered/Leafgreen were all topsellers, and topped the gamefaqs charts for weeks. Pokemon's not gone, and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't think you can call Pokémon a 'fad'. Not after what, 8 years? (Came out in '96? Not sure...)
If you search for "Pokémon" and "PS2", you'll likely wind seeing "Pokémon Stadium 2"

-Kooper, who thinks Stadium 2 is the best console game. (Extensive Library>Story Mode) YAY! THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE!!!

Pokemon wont die for some time to come, but Yu Gi Oh is going downhill fast at the store I play at.

No kidding. They've already announced a Pokemon game for the new GBDS.

Pokemon will move to the PS2/3/4/5/6/7 as soon as pigs fly over the winter paradise formerly known as Hell.

Well Nintendo may do what Sega by putting thier video games properties to the other main systems. I myself dont mind it at all(less money on systems.) All I know if they do this they better stay away from X-box because PS2 is the best.

I really doubt that Nintendo would market pokemon to any other system, unless they were REALLY desperate. Pokemon is one of their biggest money-makers, right up there with Mario and LOZ.

The chances of Nintendo letting one of its main money makers make money for the competion is slim.

Anyways wouldn't Nintendo, if they were actually making a game for the Sony, make it for the upcoming PS3?

I wouldn't mind having a Pokemon game for the PS2, but chances of that are slim to none. Nintendo owns the rights, so it'll stay on their systems.

Sounds like a PS2 Fanboy point of view, but Pokemon will NEVER EVER EVER be on a non-Nintendo console, nor do I want it too, just like Mario and Zelda.

And..Pokemon ain't dead, nor will it ever completely die..in fact it's only growing in popularity..

The reason that people think that Pokemon is dying is because they see little posts here in the Pokemon TCG threads here in Pojo. I remember back in the day when People would always post here. Now every body posts at pokegym.net. It is true that Pokemon is no where near dying but on the Pojo threads it is dead. I blame who ever is in charge of the Pokemon site. All they have are crappy CotD's (the only good person and worth reading is Otaku). Who ever is working on the Pokemon site is lazy. They miss out on a lot of info related to Pokemon and the TCG. All they work on is Yu-Gi-Oh and MTG. Don't get me wrong. They are good games but if they work just as hard on these sites as they would on the Pokemon sites, Pokemon would be more active on the boards and return to it's glory days. You guys can't tell me you notice this as well. I use to rely on Pojo for my info on Pokemon. Now I go else where. I think it is sad. I know it take allot of work to do this but if there is a job that needs to be done it should be done right. Not half assed like the Pokemon site. Pokemon deserves much better than this. Allot of people realized this and they work very hard to get the latest info for there sites. I my self have worked on CotD on web pages so I know this. We need pride. Who ever is in charge has no pride. You can't tell me other wise because you would be lying your self. How do I know this??? Just look at the total post on this board and at the others on this site. Look at the other web sites and see how often the get new info. You will see. I been wanting to say this for a long time. I am glad I finally did.

This is sadly true: the Pojo site is a diverse place, and diversity can bring conflict. No offense to Pojo himself: it is nice to have a place I can go to for all the game I love. Especially obscure ones like Dungeon Dice Monsters (why couldn't that have been the fad-it's much nicer than the TCG :D ).

I swear this is not a duplicate account. XD I am happy that my CotDs are appreciated by some people. Remember, its important to let Pojo and the CotD staff know, via polite e-mails, what kind of job you think they are doing. What you think works, what you think doesn't work. In defense of the CotD writers, we were rather spoiled back in the days of the fad: we had all those skilled Spikes who apparently had at least a little love for the game they were winning, and thus worked hard to review cards. Unfortunately, as is the case with Spikes, when there aren't big tournaments to win, they tend to go away. Now, that is not what probably happened to the majority of CotD staffers we used to see. I know a lot of players who were passionate for this game, but they had to phase the game out of their lives due to work and school. Simply put, we need more young and old blood, and not young-adult to middle-aged blood that is busy taking care of their life. XD Seriously though, the last two weeks (really week and a half) of Pokemon CotDs were my picks (sort of-they were chose from a list I suggested, and seemed like a good idea at the time). I chose them (rocket's Pokemon) to a) see if any are worth using with the new support (I think so) and b) as a warm up to reviewing the new ones. Unfortunately, I had an exam last week and I had to finish a large group project (culminating in a presentation last Friday) for my English 302 class. Even as a slacker college student (>_< Not good) I am still very busy. So are many of the reviewers.

All they work on is Yu-Gi-Oh and MTG. Don't get me wrong. They are good games but if they work just as hard on these sites as they would on the Pokemon sites, Pokemon would be more active on the boards and return to it's glory days.

Well, part of the reason is YGO looks to be able to do what Pokemon did-only with less of a lull. I am not sure why, either. I mean, even if you view both the storylines (anime, comics, video games, etc) and TCGs as being equal (not saying I do), YGO is the second "big fad" with TCGs in recent memory (there were lots of others, I literally mean recent and I am talking about total scope). Thing is, people either are completely ignoring that YGO was going to do the same thing, or were denying it, or like me, were anticipating it ($cheap$ cards are nice). So you'd think that YGO's fad phase would have been shorter, though I guess the prices did behave similarly-most pricey YGO cards that haven't been reprinted remain pricey, but all the ones that were merely collectibles have really dropped in price, at least in my area.

As for people working on those sites, let us examine the YGO set-up. I give credit for the YGO CotDs being so good to Anson (ProfPoke). He is the guy who posts all the information for that part of the site. He also not only posts the CotDs, but includes text spoilers with the cards (which makes writing YGO CotDs easier, as does the almost total lack of the "Evolution" game mechanic like in Pokemon). Basically, YGO CotDs tend to take half as long as Pokemon ones. However, Anson is a very busy college student, and can barely make time to post the YGO things. If were to stop, expect the YGO site to take a big hit unless they can get someone just as good to replace him.

Sadly, the site Pokemon doesn't have an "Anson". There are two general staffers for the main sites. They do their best to give Pokemon it's fair share, but they also have to worry about other sites. For example, the recent MegaMan site I keep asking Pojo to add. I used to work on the Duel Master's site, but I can't keep up with that game (we have less local players than we do for MegaMan). I do write CotDs for the YGO site, but have cut back to try and focus on MegaMan and Pokemon more.

Okay. Please, if you aren't already, start submitting articles and such for the Pokemon site. Also, as a whole, the Pokemon people in the message boards itself need to be very friendly. Have they been unfriendly? Don't know: I was basically "chased off" the old Pokemon boards by the "big dawgs" at that time (waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before the remodel).

So please, be active-that's how to combat this.

I should probably start a whole new thread for this.
