Pojo Gym league: Recovery

Welcome to the New and Improved Pojo Gym League!
Please read the rules before posting/challenging, so you can know what is going on and can make the best out of your challenge career.


Rules of the Challenger

You may use any Pokemon, that is not currently placed in Smogon's Uber Tier. You are not limited to a certain amount of Pokemon for your challenge career. However, if a Leader suspects you of stacking your team, they have the right to PM me regarding the situation and you will be reprimanded.

Stacking is when you have 3 or more pokemon that counter the leaders gym type

If you lose to a Gym Leader, you must wait 24 hours before re-challenging that Gym Leader.

Do not PM me (or a Mod) about adding your badge, or anything else regarding this project. All questions and battle results shall be reported to this thread and only this thread.

This thread will be used as the battle request thread, but you may also PM a user if they want you to. This will be the only thread used for this project.

You may use Wi-Fi, Shoddy, Pokemon Online or any other simluator as long as both the Challenger and Gym Leader agrees on where the battle shall take place.

You may change your type as frequently as you please.

Rules of the Gym Leader

You must choose from one of the 16 types of Pokemon currently in existence. You are allowed two (2) wildcards on your team, or you may choose to use a dual type gym where you use 2 types of pokemon and 1 wild card.( you must have 3 of 1 type, 2 of the other, and 1 wild card is aloud)

You are the one who should post match results, not the challenger. If the challenger wishes to comment, or confirm, they may, but you should be first (though I really don't care, as long as battles are being done).
After your 5th loss in a row, your spot as a Gym Leader will be under review and you will most likely be removed and replaced

As mentioned in the Challenger Rules, you may report a challenger for using a stacked team, but please make sure it is stacked and give as much detail as possible. Please PM me and don't post about it on this thread, and if I feel it needs to be openly discussed, I will bring it up on this thread.

You may use Wi-Fi, Shoddy, Pokemon Online or any other simluator as long as both the Challenger and Gym Leader agrees on where the battle shall take place. Note that it is a requirement of the Gym Leader to at least have Wi-Fi capabilities, since that is the most used form of battling.

You are required to give a prize of some sort to any winner in your gym. This can be an EV trained Pokemon, an event Pokemon or something else of value. The prize must be approved by me before being distributed.

Rules of the General Public

I will only add you as a Challenger once you have earned your first Gym Badge. This is to avoid a whole list of 0 Badges Challengers. Anyone may challenge the league, so no need to say you're joining, just start asking for a battle.

Only post on this thread if you are a) looking for a battle with a Gym Leader, b) reporting/confirming a match's results, c) applying as a gym leader, or d) conducting other League business directed to this thread.

This is an awesome idea and everything, and looks pretty solid. The only problem is the fact that pojo pokemon forums is no way near active enough for a large project like this. I'd hold off on this and continue to hold onto the hope that one day these forums will get much more active.

Hey zek, quick question! You mention stacking your team in the op. But, what if you're running a themed team (Sandstorm, Drizzle, Drought, or Hail for example) and you plan on using that team against all the gyms, but it just so happens to be really good against 1 gym in particular (like a Dought team vs a Steel or Grass team for example) but at the same time, you'd suck against other gyms (such as a Drizzle team would be pretty bad against a Lightning or Grass gym). Would that qualify as stacking your team?

first other pokes are useful in sun then fire types and each reported case of stacking is going to looked at to make sure it is actual stacking or just a regular team

This. Honestly, this won't work. We've done this countless times. We even did the Battle Frontier and they always die. We also don't have to numbers to pull something like this off yet.

Hell I didnt even know what type you were using.. I didnt look. Thats a team I use on wifi. Had it since the beginning but yeah when I saw that you were steel I was like hmm..

Whether or not this will work is irrelevant. I will be excited to be a challenger, hopefully activity stays tip top.

EDIT:: I just want to say I like the idea of the choice for gym leaders to be dual type. And just a nitpick, you should take out the sentence about ????-Type as it isn't even coded into 5th gen anymore, and besides it was the "17th type" :P
