Octillary(aq)

I was wandering what the ruling on octillary(aq) is. Does only regular reatreat activate it or does ballon berry switch ect, also trigger it's power. :cool:

Using a Trainer card like Switch would not cause the energy to be discarded. Using Balloon Berry to pay the energy cost of Retreating would cause the energy to be discarded.

Because Balloon Berry is not doing the switch itself (like Switch or Double Gust or Warp Point), it is just substituting for the 'cost' of the Retreat.
