Beside bragging rights what bonus do you get from having a Shiney Pokémon? I got a Shiney Marril the other day...

Also... do Shiney Pokémon loose their odd color when evolving? If my Marril evolve into Azumarril will it be a normal Azumarril or a shiney one?

Look at the countless other shiny threads... The Maril will evolve into a shiney Azumarill.Evolution, etc don't effect shineyness...

Okay... what about my first question?

You don't get any bonuses at all. What bonuses were you expecting?

Probably upgraded stats, etc.

Actually, shiny pokemon stats are horrible

So pretty much the only reason people brag about them is because they're so rare and valuable. This thread shall now go to waste.

Not until I have the final say. If you were to breed a shiny pokemon+non-shiny pokemon, there's a possibility of a shiny baby hatching(I can't remember the ratio). On the other hand, if you breed a shiny+shiny together, there's no chance of a shiny pokemon hatching from the egg. Why, you may ask? Because I said so, I would respond. NOW, this thread will go to waste

Sorry dude. I get the final word: Please clean out your inbox XD.

And it's very interesting there is NO chance of a shiny baby if both the parents are shinies. I did not know that. I guess there's about a 50/50 chance of getting a shiny Smoochum or Elekid, am I right?

Okay, it's cleared out(Never realized I was over my limit)

Too bad, the possibility isn't that high. I think it was around a 1:16 chance(or it was a 1:86 chance. I saw it on a site many months ago)

Actually, the chances of getting a shiney baby is the same, EVEN if both parents are shiney... My pair of shiney Exploud don't ever give shiney Whismurs, and my pair of Shiny Zigzagoons don't give shiney Zigs, they give normal Zigs...

Also, you said that shiney stats are Horrible? My Shiney Charizard has HP:Rock 70 with the Highest IV combination for it(talk about luck), so I don't think so...

There aren't any special advantages(other than bragging rights).

Actually, no. The chances aren't the same. Has anybody ever breeded two shiny pokemon together to make a shiny baby? Your shiny pair of Zigs don't give shiny eggs and your pair of shiny Explouds don't give shiny eggs? Why even mention that? I stated, "if you breed a shiny+shiny together, there's no chance of a shiny pokemon hatching from the egg". Find some way to prove two shiny pokemon can breed to make a shiny baby, but don't mention that your shiny pokemon breed together, yet the baby isn't shiny. It doesn't prove anything at all

That's your Charizard. You can't base all shiny pokemon stats on your Charizard. I'll just say, shiny pokemon stats generally aren't as good as their non-shiny counterparts

I went to Pokéfor and try to find IVs for my Marril...

It's Lv30 and I gave it a Rare Candy to get data for Lv 31 as well (didn't saved tough)

And I got these results:

HP: 10, 11
Att: 9
Def: 4,5,6
Sp. Att: 20,21
Sp. Def: 20,21,22
Speed: 17,18,19

I'm new at this IV stuff but I don't think it's really good...

The max is an IV of 31 for each stat so your stats frankly are below average. You should try to find a better one and try to breed it.

Shiny pokemon has bad stats ONLY on g/s/c. They have normal stats on r/s and fr/lg.
