I was tryin' to trade pokemon with my friend, and it didn't work. We used like 4 different link cables. . .and it didn't work. . .Then we thought that because i have an SP Advanced that it might not work . . .so we tried two normal gameboy advance's and it worked. . . So my question is . . . Can a Gameboy Advanced SP not trade with a Normal Gameboy Advanced?

Thanks

They can.

For a long while, my brother only had a GBA, while I was playing on an SP and we could trade. Even now, some of our friends only have GBAs and I'm able to trade with them.

I mean player. Theres a player one on one side of the link and Player 2 on the other side of the link. Maybe SP or GBA needs Player1 and the other needs player2.

Yeah, i think it works both ways but i've always put the Sp as port one (put the purple part of the cable in if you have a grey/purple cable) and it worked when trading with a GBA

Because to fix Ru/Sa (Berry Glitch) Instead of Jirachi from Colesium you need to trade with FR/LG ->Ru/Sa And the link and the ports have to be in a certain order.

[I went through the same problems:

I play Pokemon GSC and I want to trade so I can complete the Pokedex (Got about 55 percent thus far on Crystal) and the thing I learned is in playing a GSC on GBA, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRADE because of the calbe port or the cable, like there's something wrong with either port or cable. So I had to buy 2 GBCs and I've been trading Pokemon easy now, and I also ordered the Game Boy Color Link. I can now go back in time on Pokemon RBY and get the other Pokemon.

It's always best in playing Pokemon that if you want to trade:

RBY and GSC, must have GBC
RS, must have GBA

I still play the CRystal on GBA, but switch to GBC when I need trades.

THe FR/LG will either be you can trade on GBA or maybe they'll switch it to the GB SP. Boy, last thing I need is to spend 99 bucks on a 2nd GB SP.
