No new promos in Duel Masters games

I hate to say it, but I am really dissapointed that the 2 new Duel Masters games released by Atari are not including any new promo cards. Not that the last ones were anything special, but I was looking forward to see if anybody learned from their mistakes on the last promos. Now it seems that both games are going to include booster packs instead of promo cards. I don't call that learning from your mistakes. I would have bought each game if they had unique promos in them, but now I don't know that I will buy either.

Does anybody else here buy the games because of the promos?

I don't quite understand why you spend 30 bucks for 4 promos worth 4 bucks each...anyways, even if the games had NOTHING in them I would buy them because I'm still getting the game...you know, the thing you pay all the money for?

You're right. I guess I should clarify a little because I do enjoy playing the games. My real point would be if I had limited funds and there are several games coming out that I want to get, having the promos would push me towards getting the Duel Masters games. Right now, I don't feel a great need to immediately get the games since they don't have any promos. If they had promos in them, I would try to get them on the release date. The promo cards are an incentive for me to get them sooner rather than maybe after Christmas when my cash flow stabilizes a little more.

Boosters? Kewl. Now you can get decent cards possibly in them.

Yeah, I could care less about the promos..I just threw the promos in my room and playes the game I did'nt care about the promos the least bit.

I thought the 5 promos you got in the first GBA game were pretty good cards. I'd rather have 5 new promos, rather than a booster pack.

But these two new games will definitely have boosters.

I see your point, axolotl. I must say a booster pack also makes me want to get the game because i might get a very good card.

I got Plasma CHaser! Blockbuster let my firend take the boosters out of the display boxes, and he got a Valdios!

Yes, but I got Bolzard in the boosters. So, I'm lucky to get that card.
