Alright everyone I'm a tad bit confused with the reviews on this card from the Pojo site.

Nakaiya21 wrote: "What the 7-drop Spider-Man lacks, this character more than makes up for. A 17/17 8-drop with flight and range, this guy is definitely a powerhouse. But wait – it gets better. Add in a BAMF! effect and the ability to add +1/+1 counters equal to the number of characters your opponent controls each combat phase and you have yourself a great counter to any other 8-drop out there."

Is that counter effect true?

Also on the card it doesn't specifically say Cosmic Spider-Man gets the counters only. It just says "At the start of the combat phase, Spider-Man gets +1 ATK and +1 DEF for each non stunned character target opponent controls" Does that mean all characters you control named Spider-Man get the counters at the start?

And last but not least (Sorry I keep getting arguements from other players here so I need solid clerification from you nice folks!) does Cosmic Spider-Man lose each counter/boost every time you stun or ko one of your opponents characters?

Spider-Man ™, Cosmic Spider-Man
Character, Spider-Friends, 8
17/17
Flight, Range
Spider-Friends attackers you control cannot be stunned.
At the start of the combat phase, Spider-Man gets +1 ATK and +1 DEF for each non-stunned character target opponent controls.

Yes, what she said was correct.

as for the text thing, this is from the comp rules

"A card name appears across the top of the card. Whenever an effect or modifier refers to the name of the card that produced it, it is only referring to the card that put the effect on the chain, and not any other instance of that card"

So what it's saying is that Cosmic Spiderman only refers to himslef, not other Spiderman versions.

And no, he does no lose that counters unless he is KO'd, or an effect takes them off of him.

I disagree with the last part.

While I do agree that he gets the +X/+X until the end of the turn, regardless of what happens to his opponent's characters, I do not agree that he keeps the modifier until he leaves the field.

This is an "at the start of the combat phase" bonus, and not "counters" that are placed on him...Just like She-Hulk, Green Jeans, or anybody else with a similar effect.
