Obelisk Deck

[Byondueler]

Can anyone help me build a deck built around summoning obelisk. I know that it works well with frognarchs. The main thing i want is consistency. Note: i play online yugioh and not irl.

why obelisk, the weakest of the god cards

becaus slifer depends on the cards in your hands while ra's attack is the attack of sacrificed monsters. I like obelisk because of his constant attack/defense

Frogs with draw / search cards would be your best bet.

Just play Formula Monarchs/Frognarchs with Obelisks instead of that those Raizas/Dark Dust Spirits/Thestalo/Mobius. Off the top of my head here's one.

But even then, LaDD is so much better than Obelisk.

Try the frog idea. Or Nightmare Archfiend Tokens - Owner's Seal. That's the best I can think of really.

Ra is a -3 and depletes almost all of your LP, why would you use it?

Your opponent will simply TT/DH for game.

Ra can be used as an FTK/OTK. Simply use healing cards, and then using cards that can swarm. Then get out Ra with about 10000 LP, sac 8000, pay 1000 to kill off a monster and attack directly.

That's just a simple idea. Obelisk, and Ra aren't good, just like you said they're -3s that can get destroyed by Blackwings, Destiny Heroes, or Infernities.

Obelisk has a base attack of 4000, which is decent. Obelisk's summon cannot be prevented in any way. It can't be targeted. It also has an easily achieved nuke effect.

Ra does not have any attack, Ra does not have the protection effect, Ra depletes your LP and Ra has a useless effect.

It's Ra's ATK gain effect; that's the problem. There are other things you can do with your LP like Solemn Warning, or Solemn Judgment. Krebons, or CED.

ra works if you have a counter to backrow or they have nothing set facedown which does happen. Its only extreamly terrible if you use it when they got something set and your not able to win with it that turn anyway

There's no "for you".

If a card is worse than another then that's that. We're talking about a deck revolving around either of these, and obelisk is painfully obviously the better of the two.

It's like saying: " An Unfortunate Report is better than Dian Ketto, the Cure master for me. They both suck but the former is better for me" HUURR

Star of the deck is doppelwarrior. Summon back treeborn on your standby, then summon out fishborg, and summon doppel from your hand. Then synchro into formula, draw a card, and synchro into Armory Arm. After that, doppel produces 2 tokens, which you could sac for obelisk! The deck is relatively fun to use and play. You could always add monarchs if you like.

And just pointing it out there, Obelisk can be special summoned, Ra cannot.

Obelisk has a strong fixed 4000 atk and, since all of the gods released thus far have the same effect relating to negating effects, he's the best you can do. also slifer hasn't been released yet and i seriously doubt it will be any good when it is.

This is more of a specialized frognarch build that happens to run obelisk, not an obelisk deck exclusively.

- Pluses like crazy
- replaces itself when it dies
