I recently left a secret Shooting Star Dragon out for a while and it got curved REALLY bad. Most Yugioh foils barring ultimate/gold rares generally curve but for me, this is almost record breaking. Haven't seen this kind of curving since the first four sets of Naruto.

Maybe this is because of the new card material or perhaps the cold weather? I don't think it's the weather since this is the only foil I've left out that curved to this extent. The Hidden Arsenal 3 cards I left out are okay, just minor/normal curving.

Just wondering if super bad curving has happened to anyone else's foils from the newer sets.

I'm going to leave a Power Breaker out and see what happens.

You've never seen a foil bend before?

Think Pokemon cards. Those things bend like Betty Spaghetti.

A book some weight and time usually solves the problem

Does it really matter how curved it is? I know why this matters for the main deck (you could tell where the card is in the deck) but you never draw or shuffle the extra deck.

It is the moisture in the air. see what happens is when the card is left out for a while(say areas above 55% humidity) the card board begins to swell while the top sheet stays the shape, pulling the card up because moisture rises. i HIGHLY recommend a humidifier cause not only is it giving you cards a bend, but can cause really bad acne, fungus growing on your skin, and a bad smell in the carpets. my basement was like 70% and my cards were terrible, i couldnt leave them out. i got one and now i can leave one out and they dont bend at all(50% humidity). if you have a shower close/in the room you should definitely get one cause its most likely the steam. or if in basement you might have a leak or a bad pipe in your exterior and that can cause black mold, which chokes your brain of oxygen, which causes migraines and can stun the mental grow of children. sorry to scare you

I thought this was very informative.

Spartan, do you by any chance mean a dehumidifier? I ask because you state the humidity is bad, but you recommended a product that increases the humidity in a room. A dehumitifier would, as the name suggest, do the opposite.

To avoid bending just keep your cards in sleeves and trade binders or big piles, also a mild warm place would be OK, keep them out of the cold, hot, very humid or any extreme weather (Inside a box is a nice place to keep them).
