all right, me and my friends are gonna do a draft, but we dont want to do a normal draft, as only 3 of the people are really any good. so what we decided is that we should do a team varient....

we had two suggestions.... emperor, and two headed giants...

Im pretty familiar with both, but does anyone know anywhere I can get some comprehensive rules on any version of two headed giant?

any good ideas for team varients would be very helpful to tell the truth, but we want the teams to be teams of two right now

I don't think that there are any offical rules for those drafts, as [I believe] they aren't sanctioned formats, but you can check out an article in "Serious Fun" on magicthegathering.com . He gives out some info on them. The article is pretty recent.

alright, Ill change it then....

anyone here who plays two headed giant, how do you do it, I mean what all do you share.... sometimes when we play the only thing that isnt shared is the mana pools, and the decks.... sometimes graveyards are not shared, sometimes you cant sacrafice your teamates creatures..... how does everybody here play it then?

I've done it all..

basically it is as literal as it sounds both of you are playing the same game with 2 different decks.

your life is combined your mana is combined and your priorities are combined same goes with your phases and your combat its just since there are 2 heads you can't control what your parter can and vise versa meaning you still have control of your lands and creatures and anything you play its just that you share the mana pool.

this is just so one head cannot be the sole controller of a game, like if I wanted him to give me some mana so I could kill him and then it would just be me againt the other giant I could not kill him without me also losing.

wow, you actually play with shared mana pools, thats the one way I havent done it, but because most of the people Im playing with are just starting I think I will have it that all you share is life total, and the attack phase too...

Well, if it's casual stuff, you can do whatever you want!

hey, it dont matter, I completly decided against two headed giant... mainly because of control of the game, we are just gonna do it normal teams type..... I think....

hey, which reminds me... if any of you have done a team draft.... do you work on your decks together, or each member works on it alone?

pretty sure you can work on them together.
