i just use one of the premade ones, i dont liek many of the ones that are pictures, looks trashy or there is too much going on in the page, makes it distracting

Yea,you can put a background on your youtube but it has to be a certain size(cant upload HQ backgrounds lol)

I think it depends on how you do it,I've seen some horrible layouts on the youtube though lol
