Was it intentional to put it in there?

I believe it was a programming mistake. No glitch is put in a pokemon game on purpose(in fact, no glitch is probably put in ANY game on purpose)

There was actually a thread about this awhile ago and the forum was kind of divided about the whole thing if I rememebr right. Guess we'll never know.

My own opinion is they would be pretty stupid to put it in deliberately. (So maybe they did. :D )

Got bugs?

A "glitch" is by definition unintentional. So if it really was a intentional then it wasn't a glitch.

I think it was a glitch though.

Well, think about it.To get the glitch fixed, you had to buy something.Colloseum for the Bonus Disk. It's a conspiracy!!

Probably is a conspiracy. I wouldn't put it past nintendo.

That's not true. Nintendo also had Bonus Disks available at EB Games that gave out a Shiny Zigzagoon when it fixed the Berry Problem. I've also read that simply trading with Collosseum fixed the glitch, and that it's possible to fix it by trading with FR/LG, if you follow a certain procedure (I don't recall now what it was).

Anyway, the Berry Glitch problem was the main reason I started offering a free service to my fellow gamers. If you need to get the Berry Glitch fixed and don't want to spend a bunch of $$$, see my sig. I can help you out.

I'm one of the people Dan has helped out in the past...omg I was so happy <3 my shiney Umbreon. I will vouge (sp?) for him. Send me a privte message here or on the PTC site. He probably did more for me in terms of trading than he did for the other people on his list. (yes, and he did fix my berry glitch)

Okay, I may sound like a dummy, but what's the Berry Glitch? I've heard enough about it to the point that I want to know what it is.

The Berry Glitch is a glitch. After a year of gameplay, this glitch freezes all time events. Which means berries won't grow anymore. Also, PokeRus stays in effect(if any of your pokemon were infected with it)

A year of gameplay? Do you have an estimate of hours of play to access the glitch?

364 hours would make sense to me

Whoa, you guys are crazy. I only have but 65:14, but I started a new game a couple of months ago.

I never experienced the glitch before. Never came close to having 364 hours of gameplay on my Sa

PokeRus? What is that?

Dark Malik

PokeRus? What is that?

Pokemon Virus. Extremely rare, but VERY useful. Be happy if your pokemon ever get infected. PokeRuS only lasts for a certain amount of time

What does it do?

What does it do?

It doubles EP, which means higher stat gains

EDIT: Nevermind.

The Berry Glitch has nothing to do with your hours of gameplay. From year after you bought the game and first turned it on (I'm not completely sure what happens if you restart the game) all time events freeze. I have WAY less than 364 hours of gameplay.

So the real question is, what causes it? Can't be the battery running out. Not only would that mean deletion of saved data, how could you fix it just by connecting games? Not like they contain battery rechargers or anything...

The Mystery Still Goes Unsolved......

Actually it's caused by a number not returning to zero. Once that number went go all the way up it'd just stay there, instead of returning to zero like it was supposed to.

Is the berry glitch in every game or in just a few? Will it be in mine...I have Sapphire

BerserkerAzn

Crap, if it holds Pokerus indefinetely then I shouldn't have fixed the problem seeing as how I'm playing Leaf anyways...

I have 258 hours on Sapphire...

As for conspiracy theories,

We've already discussed this. They could have easily charged us for the fix, they could have easily done nothing, they could have easily NOT put the 'vaccine' to the glitch in future games (which most people would buy anyway), but they did something about it. That's the Nintendo I know.
