Instant, 1U
All artifacts in play owned by target player are returned to target players hand. Any enchantments on those artifacts are discarded.
Sets: Antiquities, Fifth, Fourth, Revised
I think this card should definetley be re-printed in Ninth edition...especially since a lot of people run artifact decks in type-2 format now. Any other opinions on this card?

Unless you plan on using it offensively, a better recall was printed in the form of 'Retract' in Darksteel.
Though I wouldn't mind playing recall on a few affinity decks...

Its unlikely they will reprint something that already has a version in the format, and which is particularly better in alot of circumstances.

Again i think this is the ninth post where I talk about recall but the point IS to use it offensivly. Almost all affinity lands are artifacts as well as most of the other cards in the deck. Basically for 2 mana u set them back to the first turn. This card has been in every casual deck Ive used with blue (sideboarded) why? because post mirrodin everything has been full of artifacts and this IS the best mass artifact hate card.
March of the machines
shatter
shattering pulse (not sure if name is correct destroys 2 artifacts (Red))
they do not have the simple stopping power that this has. This card turns broodstar into an instant 0/0. This card topdecked means gg Mr. Affinity or Arcbound or even the all powerful tinker.
My only question is why is this card not used more, even in casual enviorments.

Recall is definetely for offensive play, Mycrosynth Lattice + Hurkyll's Recall equals GG to any deck and i one of the few things that can say goodbye to indestructable stuff.
BTW the card is not shattering pulse it's rack and ruin but shattering pulse is awesome also.

It would be interesting to see H. Recall being reprinted but it won't as it is already on the Type 1 restricted list due to its use in the early versions of Academy decks. R&D doesn't really want to reprint a card then immediately restrict it. Maybe some variant will show up later.... after Academy is banned in Type 1.

Ones in a core set, ones in block.
Hurkyl's Recall could indeed be thrown into Ninth (in a little over a year), but its unlikely to see it or similar in Fifth Dawn.

just look what they did with naturalize and enrage which do you like better the new looking white bordered ones or the onslaught ones and the fugitive wizard was worse than that they have to stop reprinting the vanilla non-ability creatures I swear they are soley there so 8th has somewhat of a playability in limited.

And you really know it is 'good game' when you imprint Recall onto Scepter. I just love this card (I just got it at a card shop a week ago).
