im only posting it to help get opinions, although i support this ruleset like....80% lol

As part of the Official MX-BBR, I'm announcing the Official Ruleset we just finished.
In order to save time and space, I'm only posting the more significant rules:

Before the First Match
1. A player is chosen by random (cointoss, rock-paper-scissors...), winner choose either being the first one to Strike Stage* or choose port**.
2. Controller Settings are made if necessary.
3. Each player chooses character. Double Blind Pick may be called.
4. Stage Striking begins.
4.1 Redwood Counterpick: If both bands agree, one stage (any stage) may be choosen instead of making Stage Strike.
5. Battle begins in the stage chosen in 4.

*Team Batle port distribution must be on a A-B-B-A or A-B-A-B fashion.
**Stage Striking is done in the order A,B,A,A,B,A

The Game
-The one that losses all of his/her 3 stocks losses the match.
-If the timer (8 mins) run out without getting a winner, a Rematch must be played: Same characters, Same stage, 3 minutes, 1 stock; if time runs out again, the winner is the one with less damage.
-If a Suden Death is forced due to both players lossing their last stock at the same time, the winner is the one that forced the Sudden Death.
*Sometimes forcing a Sudden Death might fail (e.g. Ganondorf's Flame Choke). If that happens, the victory is given to the player that attempted the Suicide Move, regardless the screen result.

After Each Match
1. The winner may ban a stage.
2. The loser chooses one stage from either the "Starter" or "Counterpick" list.
2.1. (modified) Dave Stupid Rule: One player cannot choose a stage he/she just won in the same Set, unless the opponent agrees.
2.2. Gentleman's Rule: If both bands agree, they can play on any stage they consider fair. If any player does not, they must stick to the given stagelist.
3. Winner chooses character.
4. Loser chooses character.

-Repeat as many times as necessary.

Restrictions
-IDC and any Glitch for stall, hinder or degenerate gameplay, causes freezes or other issues on the console, are PROHIBITED.
-Standing Chaingrabs/Infinites and Small-step Chaingrabs (Marth on Ness/Lucas, DDD over several characters) are prohibited.
-King DeDeDe must Dash after a Down-throw in order to Grab again.
-LGL: 40. It aplies in every case (is not limited to Timeouts), the player who exceeded it will be considered the loser (if both exceeded it, the winner will be the one with less ledgegrabs). It can be easily revised at the end of the match, so if a player is suspect, and refuse to check his/her results, he/she will be considered the loser of the match. If there is no accusation, or both players exit the results screen without check it, this rule is ignored.

Stagelist
Starter:
-Battlefield
-Final Destination
-Yoshi's Island (Brawl)
-Smashville
-Pokemon Stadium 1
-Lylat Cruise
-Castle Siege

Counterpick:
-Delfino Plaza
-Halberd
-Frigate Orpheon
-Pictochat
-Distant Planet

Just sharing them to know your thoughts.

keep in mind that they didnt have a lot of time to discuss the ruleset so some parts might be iffy

it's a little oddly worded, but I don't really see any difference from a standard ruleset

I went to a tournament in Guadalajara (Smash Mex 10) and they're all ridiculously awful. I don't even play Brawl and I destroyed a majority of them.

Their only good player is Waymas.

you know that they pretty much try and ban everything that relates to camping right? they want to get along with their melee community lul
