Hmmm. I looked through what Snorlax can breed with but didn't see any pokemon that learn Fissure. So this will involve a breeding chain I think, probably of at least a few steps. Too bad upnetwork's pokedex is still not complete. That was the one that had a complete chain for all egg moves. Maybe someone else knows another site with this info.

Anyway, here is what I can tell you that may be helpful: in R/S, the following pokemon can learn Fissure: Walrein, Camerupt, Donphan, Whiscash, and Wailord. I know that in FR, my Dugtrio has learned it too and there are probably a couple others. So maybe you can use this info as a start.

A Snorlax with Fissure should be worth doing a little work for, so I hope you find the answer soon. SOrry I couldn't be more helpful but hey I tried.

BTW, this really belongs in the FR/LG forum since Snorlax is not in R/S and maybe you'll get more response there anyway.

Fissure is no longer a TM like it was in earlier game versions. You may be confusing horn drill with fissure. In R/S/FR-LG, both Nidoking and Rhydon can learn horn drill, but not fissure.

No, Nidoran does not learn it. Keep looking, there has to be a way, unless Fissure is not an egg move for Snorlax after all (the site may be wrong). Try again.

Double X, what are you looking at that says Rhyhorn/Rhydon learns Fissure? It can learn Horn Drill, but NOT Fissure, according to the pokedexes I have seen.

This thread is very interesting. Maybe a prize should be offered to the poster that actually finds the right breeding path to get Fissure on Snorlax, assuming that there is really a way.

At this point it's up in the air. I'd like to find out though, one way or the other. Too bad upnetwork's pokedex isn't like it used to be (with the breeding paths for all egg moves). Maybe in time they'll get it all updated. I asked on the Help thread if anyone has a different site with the info but so far nobody has posted one.

Serebii make a lot of mistakes. I mean it. ;)

I don't think Serebii made a mistake. I think it was Gamefreak. Fissure is listed as an egg move in the Official Nintendo power guide. BUT Snorlax is the only pokemon in the monster group that can learn it at all.

I did think of something though. Dugtrio>Spheal>Lapras>Snorlax

But since Lapras apparently can't get the move anymore, which it COULD when fissure was still a TM, this doesn't work.

I checked around the Forums at Serebii, and found this (http://www.serebiiforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=25751).
It says that :
"Moves that have ***** as their chain indicates that there is no way to get the move according to the SPP dex, although it is listed as an egg move there"

I looked into this also but couldn't find a way to make it work either. Oh well, dems da breaks... Snorlax with Fissure would have been awesome. Too bad.

This might get fixed in the future by making Fissure a tutored move. Or maybe in the next generation of games we'll have 100 TMs. You never know. O.o

Anyways. I made a list of all the "Monster" egg-group pokemon in RBY that could learn the fissure TM.

Blastoise
Marowak
Kangaskhan
Lickitung
NidoKing
NidoQueen
Rhydon
Slowbro
Snorlax

Note: It seems I was wrong about Lapras. It only got horn drill, not fissure.

Now of all these Pokemon only Snorlax gets Fissure as an Egg move??? Somebody screwed up big there. And of course none of them learned it naturally then, and none of them learn it naturally now.

Best Solution for Game Freak? Add Fissure as a tutored move.
