Howdy, im Cameron Spencer. Yay for my first post!! I played machina gadgets for today which is weird bc I have always hated gadgets but it was cheap and I was tired of failing with cats. I think all the information is correct
0-0 Round 1 vs perfected fairies:
-he got a first round lost bc he was lated. Said he was still finishing his deck
-trying to figure out how the deck ran and almost had it until he drew like 10 cards
-third shut him down as fast as I could and lucked out in the end
-I won my first! I love winning my first
1-0 Round 2 vs Cats:
-I really liked his build of cats with stuff like
Cyber, thunder king, and doom caliber
-It was a good game and he was a really nice guy who I have played a time or two b4
-I lost :(
-got some Bojangles and felt better after losing
1-1 Round 3 vs something:
-promise this is the only one I forgot
-won doing something
2-1 Round 4 vs Blackwings:
-I love playing blackwings bc they can do really great or not much.
Just never know what will happen
-I won the first with wonderful traps
-he got second with starting with two whirlwinds
-for third I drew into consecrated lights and shut him down with that
and a Starlight Road for the win
3-1 Round 5 vs lightsworn flamevell:
-first round some stuff happened and I won, yay.
-second round he JD for game bc that’s what they do
-third round, with the help of my best friend Dimensional Prison he couldnt get JD but still spammed hard with a no hand top deck Rekindling and made Stardust and Colossal. Came back with Fortress with an attack and pop to kill both of them off and won.
4-1 Round 6 vs Big John’s Cats:
- the best game I had all day
-first I won after a long game
-second he beat me in time
-already 10 mins over time we go into game 3 and that was a crazy game. No one else was playing by this point and we had a crowd. We had like 5 cards back lined and were just playing traps he flips his spy and got out a guard and I start trying to attack for first blood over spy. He flips a book when I attack and everyone flips over him winning like that and I had to almost yell over the noise to tell them I have a response to it. I flipped over limiter and so the game kept going. After 20 mins of 5 backlined cards of stuff I get through and win
5-1 round 7 vs green man’s geminis!!:
-I was so happy to see this deck doing so well today and it was a really good build.
-I won the first doing gadget stuff
-second we went about 10 turns with just drawing and passing until at one point I had 4 backlined and 7 cards in hand, until he just exploded on me for the win. All my backlines were just magics. Couldn’t get a trap to save my life.
-Third, it was a good match from both of us and I won.
Standings!:
-I was racked 13th here and I thought for sure I wasn’t going to top 8 bc I couldn’t find the guy I lost to anywhere. So I though he dropped and was gone and that would kill my tiebreakers and figured 9th or 10th. To tell the truth I didn’t think I would win the next anyway
6-1 Round 8 vs T’s X-sabers:
-T was a really cool guy and im glad I got to meet him.
-I won in game three, I don’t remember much from this match at all bc of all my talking with T and trying to figure out what was going on beside of me with Andrew Rickett and a bad ruling.
7-1 Standings:
-I thought I was out for sure. I still had not been able to find the guy I lost to. They put out the standings and I got 8th, yay! Slipped right in on that one.
Top 8! Vs Blackwinds:
-I meet a really cool guy here and the coolest judge ever!
-first game I otk with a Gadget, Gearframe, and Fortress with limiter on the 2nd turn
-second game we start out with my hands shaking so hard bc of the excitement, good game but he takes it.
-third game I won after another good game and was so excited about I have no idea what happened in it.
Pros:
-everyone I played was great guys and didn’t have any major problems
-learned two new rulings I didn’t know before
-4th top! (I count my DQ, bc I can)
-fun judges
-my friend Jeremy came back to card games, yay!
-Bojangles
-God helping me win
-not playing against GBs and crazy magic explosion
-using Tacoman77’s magical sleeves
Cons:
-friends not topping
-not getting to play against Infernities so I know how they run
