How did you get into the Pokémon TCG?

A few months before its American debut I saw an ad for it in Nintendo Power. The whole TCG idea was new to me so I didn't know what to make of it. But a week or so after they came out, my friend bought the original starter deck and invited me over to his house to play against him. I've been hooked ever since.

A few weeks after the American debut, I was walking through Target one day and saw it...so, of course, I immediately bought it. I've not given up on it since. ^_^

I've been playing this game since Jungle came out.

I'm not sure how it happened. I noticed that there was a Pokemon craze across the nation. And I knew some people who were all about playing and collecting the cards. I thought the artwork was cool on them, so I started buying them with no intention of playing the game. But before I knew it . . . I was hooked.

I cant believe I'm still playing this darn game sometimes. Darn Nintendo! Dragging me back in yet again after I thought i would retire for sure! LOL :D

Well my friend in High School got me hooked. He would always talk about his Game Boy game of Pokemon and I thought is was stupid. He told me it was like a RPG and I rely live for RPG's. I Bought the blue version and I REALLY liked it. He had some cards so I bought the starter deck thru the mail and ever since I've been playing non-stop and I still have my 1st ed Machamp :D .

I watched the cartoon in the Mornings, so I knew about Pokemon from that. On one of my days off from work, I went into a card shop that had just opened a couple months before. I saw the Jungle packs, was curious, and bought a few packs. I went another shop a few days later and started playing.
