So they will indeed port Budokai 2 to Gamecube, just like Budokai 1. Yeah great for non-PS2-but Gamecube owners. I remember when Budokai 1 got ported, it had improved graphics, but there's nothing Budokai 2 can improve on(unless Dragon mode is removed and replaced by Story mode)

I'm surprised i didn't think that Atari would release Budokai 2 on the gamecube but, I was wrong. I have a feeling that the Gamecube version of budokai 2 might sell better then the PS2 verison of the game.

Well, that would be good and all if I didn't already buy Budokai 2 for PS2...Why can't they just release them on both systems at the same time, then I would buy it for my Cube.

Well, hopefully they improve the graphics again like they did for Budokai 1.

Here's what was posted at IGN...

DBZ: Budokai 2 Headed for GC
Ready for anime ass-whooping?

September 13, 2004 - Atari published Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 late last year on the PS2. Now, with the release of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 coming this November, Atari has decided to release Budokai 2 on the GameCube. Never known for its library of fighting games, Budokai 2 will add much needed aggression to Nintendo's system.
As of yet, Atari officials won't stamp Budokai 2 with a solid release date, but they've definitely confirmed the title is indeed headed for the cube. For those who don't know, the Budokai series follows the visceral exploits of the popular Dragon Ball Z characters as they engage in flashy battles across otherworldly locations.

We'll keep you posted on all the latest news from planet Budokai

Budokai 2 coming to GC... :D So happy now.
I can kick Hercule's ass some more on the GC again, even with Krillin. :D

It might have took them a while because of how small the gamecube disc is, and Budokai 3 coming to PS2.

On top of that, there were special games, a tourney that goes up to 8 players and cool new moves.

The only thing i thought that I thought sucked was Dragon World and how the characters have the same moves with different names.

You have to understand the gamespot scores and what the basis of the reviews are. They rank the game against others of the genre(fighting). In terms of engine and fighting intricacies, other games have more complex systems and score higher on gamespot. However, for dbz fans, budokai 2 is a great game because it is the best DBZ fighting game ever. That is a factor that is not included in the gamespot score. And because this is a dbz vid game forum, that factor is a HUGE deal.
