I was at my local blockbuster and they were renting out the whole 13 ep series for only $4.99!!! I think its a good deal, but is this a good series?

I liked the series but I think its the type of series that depends on your own personal taste. However, if I was to choose, I would say yes especially since its the whole series for practically nothings its a very, very good deal.

i liked it when i rented it but it just gets long and i missed the last two episodes

Its a good show, nothing incredible, but its still pretty entertaining to anyone who likes Lord of the Rings.

I think it is Lodoss... Anyway, I can't remember that much, I only saw the first episode/whatever on Sci-Fi, it was like an hour long or something like that. I just can't remember that much... I can remember blood... Fighting, and mystical stuff. Bah...

I saw some of the episodes. I thought It was ok, I also thought it was a big copy of the Lord of the Rings. That is all I really remember about it, other than me falling asleep through one of the episodes while my dad watched the rest.

That was a really good deal, considering the fact that the 13 eps. of Lodoss War usually sells at about 50 bucks. :eek:

anyway...the show is OK, but for a better fantasy show check out Juuni Kokki(12 countries)

Yeah i heard 12 kingdoms was good too but I haven't been able to get my hands on it.

I like Record of Lodress War. I actually did the same thing you're going to do. I rented the whole thing from BlockBuster. I didn't find the series very impacting, but it was entertaining and fun to watch if you can stand the cliches and the obvious connections with Lord of the Rings (i.e. Dwarves and Elves not getting along and so forth.)

Well actually there was the TV show of Record of Lodoss and then there was a movie. The TV show isnt as detail in art as the movie. I had the chance to get it from this anime club I joined but I froze the account on the fact I couldnt keep paying 23 sumtin a month(I had other things to do ya know) but on the previews of the movie there is extrme details and also I do beliee they have a few different characters too... But to me great stuff a classic in my opinion...
