When I got him I thought his trait was a special power that gave Leap/Clime. I was like that's a horrible special power but then I noticed it was a trait and was like NICE!!!

I find it interesting that he has no team ability. Of course, it could be an error. I mean, you'd at least think he'd be a Spider-Man Enemy.

Keep in mind that is "Sinister Syndicate" and not "Spider-Man Enemy" for the name of the TA.

That said, the one from Sinister has that TA. The ones from Critical Mass do not.

From what I read on the back of the card, though, it sounds like this Venom should have had the Avengers TA.

he should definetly have the avengers TA. I'm not sure why him and penence don't get the avengers TA. Songbird and Moonstone both get it and they are thunderbolts as well.

That will make it kind of hard to Thunderbolt those 2 on a Thunderbolts theme team. lol

The only difference I could see between Venom and Penence, and Songbird and Moonstone is that the former only have Thunderbolts and Celebrity keyword where the latter have Celebrity, Thunderbolts, AND Masters of Evil. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but that is the difference. Kinda frustrating.

Considering Mooonstone and Songbird aka Screaming Mimi, were members of the Masters of Evil at more then one time (In Moonstone's case, at least to my knowladge). Where as Venom was never a member of the Masters of Eveil and Penance was originally a member of the New Warriors as Speedball.

It makes sense for Moonstone and Songbird to have that keyword as they were under Zemo's beck and call. That was atleast until Zemo disappeared and Norman took over.

Exactly. And I, for one, am glad some of the new T-Bolts lack the Avengers TA. If this set shows us anything, it's that team abilities may be a serious points sink that would be better spent on powers on the dial

To me, if Venom's lack of a team ability showed me anything, it's that maybe a Thunderbolts TA isn't a bad idea. Not exactly an important thing though.

I don't think that is necessary. If you look at the Fantastic Four pack as well as the Secret Invasion LEs, it shows that you don't have to have a team ability to have good comic accurate team synergy. It's actually better accomplished through keywords and special powers.
