Hello, I am hoping someone can give me advice on what booster box is best to get son for a gift. I know nothing about MTG.

From his list there are a few he would like for me to pick from. Since I want it to be a surprise Ive not told which Im getting.

Should I get Zendikar or Divine vs Demonic?

The Divine vs Demonic is a little higher in price does that mean its a better booster box? more collectiable?

PLEASE HELP...Thanks

Get him the Zendikar booster box because it is really hot right now.

Depends on what your son wants to do with the box.

Divine vs Demonic contains 2 immediately playable 60-card decks. Cards are pre-determined and stick to the themes of both decks.

A Zendikar booster box is 36 packs of 15 random cards. So you never really know what you're going to get, which means that might not be able to actually play with the cards.

Also, Booster Boxes cost at leats around 80$, while DvsD usually costs 20-30$ tops. Booster Boxes should be more expensive, unless you're talking about something else of course...

Maybe he's talking about a display case of DvD.

Divine vs. Demonic isn't a Booster Box so much as it's two 60-card decks, prebuilt. Every card in each of the decks is the same for each DvD product. (Unless he wants multiples of those cards, no reason to get more than 1 of each deck AND it's much more affordable than a Booster Box. So I wouldn't get a whole box of it -- there's no point to the redundancy, and it's certainly not more collectible. You should be able to get it for ~$35.).

Zendikar Booster Boxes are becoming really expensive, really quickly. A booster box contains 36 booster packs, each containing 1 rare, 3 uncommons, 10 commons, and 1 land. What's in the packs is anyone's guess, though with so many packs, he's practically guaranteed to get some really cool and valuable cards.

If he's only kind-of interested in Magic, he'll be delighted with the DvD and oyu won't have to break the bank. If he's very much "in the game" and you're okay with shelling out 100+ dollars, a box of Zendikar would be thrilling.

Thanks for the info...here is what I found on the Divine vs Demonic...New to board sorry if shouldnt post detail info or not...but its very expensive..

"Duel Decks: Divine vs Demonic contains two ready-to-play 60-card decks that showcase some of the best spells the forces of light and darkness have to offer. The set includes 7 cards that feature new artwork, including two alternate art foil mythic rare cards.
6 Packs per box, 2 Deck per Pack, 60 Cards per Deck
- Each deck contains 1 mythic rare and 3 rare cards...COST $189.95

I was wondering if it is more collectible because it cost so much..or whats the big deal about it.

That is a display case, which contains 6 of the same product.
Normally, one Duel Deck cost around 30 USD.
Unless your son wants 6 of the same thing, that is.

I think he would like it if you got him a Zendikar box (~120 USD) plus 1 Duel Decks: Divine vs Demonic (~30 USD).
