ok, i LOVE the pokemon games, and i want to get every coulor:

my games (in order)

blue
yellow
silver
gold
chrystal
ruby(insted of red)

and i want to get leaf green, BUT i want to know if you can get ALL of the starting pokemon (charmander, bulbasaur, squertail) and, i DONT want fire red unless it has better pokemon that u can get because i dont want 2 reds. adn i would rather have a green. adn i want to know how many pokemon there are. one last question. how much is a game shark? can i use it to get a wild mew for instance?

Yes get green. Sheesh. Half of that is irrelevent. Red/green will have about the same pokemon. the differences won't be anymore significant than they were in red/blue.

Action replay(gameshark) cost 30-40$ I think. But not all stores have them.

LeafGreen has way better Pokémon than FireRed IMO. The only advantage FireRed has over LeafGreen is an offensive Deoxys compared to a defensive one. FireRed's version of Deoxys has better Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. LeafGreen's Deoxys has better Defense, Special Defense, and Hit Points. But I prefer Deoxys' Ruby/Sapphire sprite compared to both of his FireRed/LeafGreen sprites. It's really a matter of preference, though. I myself like things that kick butt.

I like Fire Red better, but w/e.

Just get Leaf Green or both games if you want all of the Pokémon games. It's not that hard.

No, he wants one of every color. I'm guessing he's got some kind og OCD. I do find it totally unbelievable though. I mean, why would he know to JUST get blue and not red because of Ruby?

Oh, one of every color, not every game. I see.

Well, get Pokémon Leaf Green. /It's not rocket science. /

Maybe he couldn't get Red because of other factors.

Maybe he couldn't get Red because of other factors.
I don't think so. I think t's a lie. He could get yellow, blue, but not red? He could get gold, silver, and crytal but STILL not red? And yet he NEEDS one of every color, but didn't get red and got Ruby. Unless he didn't start getting the games until Ruby came out, something is a miss here.

oh, dear. ok heres the story:

first, i got RED, then i accidentialy spilled sprite on it wile i was playing it in the car so i threw it away. then, my dad baught me a BLUE and i didnt want a red anymore. then, i got gold, silver, and crystal. so, when ruby and saffire came out i got ruby in place for my unwanted RED. so, now i wanted to know if leaf green was better than fire red because i didnt want to wast money and have something like that happen again. GEEZE!!

How is buying red wasting money?

I still don't buy the story. Sorry. Makes nos sense. Plus it doesn't go with your original story about needin one of each color. Something is still up with this.

Buy both and use marker to color the red one.

god! *rolls eyes* red would be a waste fo money because i already know what was in it. this thread was about witch one is better, not what games i have!

Neither is better if you ask me, although Leaf Green does have a FEW slightly better pokes IMO. If you wan't a different color, go with Green otherwise, just get either of the 2, heck, if you want get red and then get emerald when it comes out. But neither game is really any better.

Geez, calm down. Im getting Fire Red, because of preference. The pokemon in that game are from Red and Silver, wheres Green has the pokemon from Blue and Gold. I already had Red and Silver, so i wanted to get those types of pokemon again.

No version is better than the other, its just preference on what pokemon you want.

You could always test them out at a Best Buy or [censor]ing it.
