Whats the best deck this format?.

Im new to the whole magic scene so i have two questions. What the best this format and whats the most fun deck. Thx for any input.

Both questions are subjective and do not have a single answer. Every format is fun, and there's plenty of "fun" decks around.

there really isn't a "best" deck out there I'm afraid, it really depends on how you like to manage against your opponent, as for fun, find a color (or colors) you like and mess around with those cards, mine seems to be bant (green, white, blue)

Ath the moment i'm finding Esper (Black, Blue and White) Really rather fun this format ^^. But to answer your question about fun, i totally agre with l0K13 just pick your colour/colours and build away.

Right now, the meta is slowly shifting for the new formats. Two popular sanctioned formats (not including Legacy, Two-Headed Giants and etc) are preparing for the coming of Zendikar block (Zendikar, Worldwake and unnamed set with the codename "Prosper")

Standard will lose 4 sets in 1 block (Lorwyn, Morningtide, Shadowmoor and Eventide) thus losing some high powered cards like Figure of Destinies, Cryptic Commands, Bitterblossoms and etc. Controlled cards, aggro, and faeries from the set will be highly be affected.

Extended will lose its Onslaught Block (Onslaught, Legions and Scourge) because they'll lose the allied colored fetch lands, and most of the extended's elves.


But before October hits, the best decks... there's a lot. Faeries, Zoo, 5CC. For Standard, the last top decks for the month of Aug and Sept from different Standard sanctioned tourneys from around the world are this:

Standard PTQ season just ended and it's changing shortly with the introduction of Zendikar.

Extended PTQ season is on break right now and the only Extended event will be Pro Tour - Austin which will also feature a new metagame with the introduction of Zendikar and the rotating out of Onslaught.
