second: yes, it is. You're going to need colosseum for some johto pokemon(unless you cheat) As shown on serebii
last: Read reviews on it. Then decide if the game is good or not. I haven't played it

yu should like it if you like double battles, the whole game is double. but it is more of a good vs evil RPG than the others.
it has no gyms
the entire game is the take down of team cipher and the purifing of the "evil" pokkemon

To answer your last question, yes, it is just worth buying colosseum to experience a new quest, and to witness the new R/S Pokemon in 3D with new attack effects, but you may be disappointed with the linear nature of the quest, and the lack of animation and polish on the pokemon sprites, and the fact that you can't register teams.

All definite answers :-p
1. Gamecube
2. Yes
3. Definitely. A bunch of new Pokemon, Ho-Oh (in case you don't get the e-reader card for Island 8), and trading between R/S/FR/LG with one gameboy (to Colosseum, then to the other game).

I forgot to add you should get colosseum, because it's essential to getting some Johto pokemon onto Fire Red/Leaf Green. Unless you plan on using a cheating device

Lol, yes it's alot different than Cristle and shphi re hehe
Anyway, I had Colosseum and it was OK. The GBA pokemon games are my favorite but, I wasn't to thrilled over Colosseum. I like just being able to go out and make a team of my own. I like walking around the grass and finding wild Pokemon. Not stealing them from baddies =(
Anyway, how many Pokemon am I missing out on in R/S/FR/LG since I don't have Colosseum anymore? (actually I don't even have a Gamecube anymore. I sold it)
