Because when Hideo Kojima was begging Masahiro Sakurai for snake to be in his game, he wanted Snake to be the most broken character, unfortunately Sakurai wanted one of the characters from his franchise to be the most broken. So Kojima settled for 2nd.

It was mostly likely planned a while ago but obviously permission had to be asked from sega or whatever company owns sonic.
Yea..that's pretty much it....obvious answer o.O

but overall the purpose of putting snake and sonic in there was to get fans of both of those characters to buy brawl.= more money for sakurai

Also, sonic has been in nintendo's consoles for a long time. I guess they felt that since he had been in so many games on the console, and as he had such a massive fanbase, that adding sonic would cause more people to go 'zomg! sonic!' And thus think this game is awesome, which it is.

First, game logic aside, how can every character breathe in space? In theory, due to their helmets, only Samus and Olimar would survive.

Second, using Force = Mass X Acceleration, what does this equation look like in regards to a Falcon Punch? So far, my only related equation is:

Don't you watch them spawn at the start? All the fights are actually statues who have been animated, thus they need no air, duh.

A: Because the punch wasn't what ended the galaxy (and before members of the Cult of Falcon cry "Blasphemy!", refer to the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWnoYF930gM&feature=channel_page)). It was the overloaded dark reactor that destroyed the galaxy with its explosion, and Captain Falcon just punched Black Shadow in the face like a final "**** you".

Very well then, here's a legitimately sincere one from me:
What is the origin of Luigi's Negative Zone? Has anything resembling it appeared in any Mario game, or was this created just for brawl?

The story behind it is apparently a combination of Luigi being stuck in Mario's shadow and perhaps a bit of ghost channeling power from his mansion. Or at least it said something to that extent on the Brawl Dojo.

Legitimate question: Do any of you find that even the slightest lag online can throw off your timing bad enough to affect you? Just wondering how other people find their experience online.

I find it half and half, sometimes i can deal with the lag, othertimes i'm just crippled fully by it, playing with alot naturally screws me up, but playing with none/a medium amount is fine.

Yet playing with a very small amount will screw me up most of all i tihnk

When I began playing online I had about a half-second button lag but no graphical lag. I ended up throwing out random Dsmash/Fsmashes everywhere 'cause I couldn't accurately read my opponent >_< lol.

Now it's mostly lag-free with the occasional spike or two per game.

I see. For me, I feel my timing is little off at first (Say if there is minimal lag) but it just takes a bit of getting used to and then I'm good to go.

Next question: Do you think that there are certain characters that did not make the final roster deserved a spot on the roster more then others?

I was saddened that Waluigi was not a playable character, but at least Wario and Wolf were put in. :) I hope in the next game Galacta Knight makes it.

Well, I personally remain neutral as to whether or not to include him, but after hearing him constantly mentioned to absolutely no end, not seeing Geno included was somewhat surprising.

Also, while knowing Sonic would be the only entrant from the Sonic series, there was a small bit of disappointment that Shadow didn't find a way in as a fighter. He could easily have a different moveset so he wouldn't be a clone.

Question: Are there certain past stages you wished would have returned in Brawl? I know I miss Hyrule Castle from SSB64.

I personally miss Peach Castle from SSB64. That stage was very fun and somewhat unforgiving. :p I also miss Fountain of Dreams, liked the stage very much.

You need to hack the Wii and then get a program called Gecko-os (Or something similarly named to that effect). My best advice is to go there and lookup Brawl+, mostly because I am unsure whether it is ok to talk about Wii hacks here. :)

well why would someone only hack it for brawl+ and honestly it is worth hacking your wii, with hacking, your able to

. play emulators
. play pirated wii and vc games
. they got some neat apps
. change your wii theme
. change your wii intro screen
. make back ups of your wii's nand(so u basically cant brick it)
. play games off of a harddrive or usb memory device
. homebrew games
. also the cheat device works for other games, than just brawl

also i should add that the chance of bricking your wii is impossible, unless your where using some beta installer.

honestly, i want a good reason of why he shouldn't install the homebrew channel. its wasy, there is no way to brick your wii with this installer. so its safe.

Oh I know, but I did not know how else to say it without actually talking about it. :p It can be a pretty touchy subject with some people. While the procedure is easy enough, whether someone wants to perform such a thing is up to the person.

1. I think you need tapjump off

2. The easiest is with Snake, when you're playing with him, do a dash attack (by running and pressing down on the cstick), the moment you see him doing the dash attack animation press up and Z, and it'll do a mortar slide.

Cause Link, Zelda and Ganon are all in the bottom tier.

This is due to Ganon being slow and laggy, Link having poor recovery, and Zelda having no tournament results.

To be honest, they just sorta designed the characters, trying to keep them true to their games.

Example, Zelda was considered decent, until the last tier list dropped her so low due to basically never topping a tournament.

Remember, a tier list is an opinion, and it's the tournament results which affect that opinion.

The game designers couldn't tell which would happen, example, they actually tried making Samus the stronger one and weakened ZSS, yet ZSS is higher on the tier list than Samus.

Well in LOZ, Link can't jump, which perfectly represents his crappy recovery. Watch a few japanese matches, some of those people know how to bomb spam.

Ganon is uber powerful, just slow.
