Even though HG/SS hasn't been released yet what do you think will be next? What can they do with the titles of the games? I think they need to throw everything into one master game, or make an online RPG.

An online RPG? No offense mate, but that's been done and overdone, and this is Nintendo we're talking about. First of all, why would they make an online game, ever, as opposed to one on their own systems? They make their money doing what they do now. They also make money by continuing the series and not cutting it short with one "master game".

And more than likely the next main series games will be part of Generation V.

I agree. They've already tampered with the fabric of space and time (and the torn world of course), so I doubt they can make any decent Legendary's anymore..

lol i think there will be no more remakes untill a r/s remake in the 5th generation sometime, also, i have no idea what they are going to start calling there games now, there running out of gems haha.

Yeah, they literally have a "god" of pokemon. That's as far as they can go imo.

I think the master every region game would be great.

It'll most likely be HGSS > 5th Generation > RSE Remakes > 6th Generation > DPPt Remakes > 7th Generation > 5th Gen Remakes...

And keep going down the line...

We're not necessarily going to see remakes beyond HeartGold and SoulSilver. The whole point of remaking the first two generations was to make them compatible with the current generation. Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald are already compatible as-is, and if they do make a 5th generation (and it's quite possible that they won't), they can make it so it's compatible with the pre-existing 3rd and 4th generation games.

I honestly would like to see a "master game" that goes down the path of Pokemon Yellow: more anime-influenced than the other games. Start with Pikachu. Access to each region's starters. Jessie, James, and Meowth causing trouble.

Furthermore, it would be interesting if you couldn't access any of the Pokemon you caught in the previous region, except your Pikachu, until you get all 8 of the new region's badges. The Pikachu's Level would drop to 5 each time, although its stats would be inflated compared to natural-born Level 5 Pikachu. That way, you're forced to come up with a whole new team each time you enter a new region.

Realistically, though, we'll see a Fifth Generation with another large batch of all-new Pokemon, as already stated. I think they will remake Ruby & Sapphire, if only to update the games with all the great features they've introduced in the DS era--and make a quick buck, to boot.

Naw, that's not good business sense. I mean, it would be cool, but they would never include an all-new adventure in a "master game." It would be released following the master game as the next step in the series and the next attempt to make money.

It would be nice if they did something different for a change. Even with a new set of Pokemon and a new region, it ends up being the same old story anyway.

A master game sounds interesting, though you would literally be doing the same thing over and over again, unless they came up with an interesting story to go along with it.

An online game would interest me more than anything else, there is so much they could do with an online Pokemon game. The Pokemon could wonder the world instead of randomly appearing, you could actually see other people walking around and they could even create an expansion for each region. Still, this would never happen, no matter how awsome it would be.

I've been dreaming about the ultimate pokemon game. One where you can catch/evolve every pokemon (I'm not really a fan of wifi >.>;). Though if you have Kadabra/Haunter/etc then you have to trade as usual. It will have every gym, and after you beat the 8 gyms you beat the elite 4/5 for that series then go on to the next country. I cant wait for them to do that ^_____^.

But the thing that made 2nd gen so great was that most of the game didn't end after the Pokemon League, obviously. The ability to go back to a Generation of cities was cool. I'm hoping that even with just one new Generation of Pokemon, there will be two regions, the 2nd one holding only non-5th gen Pokemon. And the ability to catch every Legend would be nice.

I honestly think that Nintendo is going too far with the Pokemon games. My cousin told me this and I agree because I think they are running out of ideas. An example is that they made Bidoof and Bibarel look the same, and the names sound dumb. I wouldn't mind a 5th generation but sometime soon they will have to make a final game where you can go to every region and make it about $70. Gamestop can keep the Pokemon games selling if they keep having so many events like the upcoming Jirachi event which unlocks a course for SoulSilver/HeartGold PokeWalkers

I would like to see a game where you start as an evil person, stealing pokemon from innocent trainers, then at some point turn good, start off a journey with your stolen pokemon trying to become friends with them and take on gym challenges. Sort of like the games for the Gcube/wii where you turn their hearts from black to good and also try to take down the evil organization at the same time.

Or another game where you fight to become a gym leader after the game is beat...

Overall, new pokemon, new region, new reason to play = makes me happy
