Been out of the action for a year or so now and just wondering what is going on as far as the decks to beat and what cards are competitive these days.

In truth I have no idea how the decks are runned because My Final Countdown deck has be going 3-1 4-0 at tourments all depends on if I play that Monarch deck

After the new banlist, effective Sept. 1st, most likely, the top tier will be Lightsworns and Gladbeasts with a possibility of Zombies also topping. Blackwings will still do well but they won't be the same with gale at 1. Synchro Cats are almost dead with both rescue cat and summoner monk at 1. However, I still have no idea how X-sabers as well as monarchs are going to do in the new format but don't count them out.

EDIT: Completely forgot about Vayu Turbo, they should probably top as well.
