Card Text When Dr. Doom comes into play, you may turn a face-up plot twist you control face down

i dun get it, how is it really useful? how are u suppose to use it and what cards do you combo with it? sry for being dense and thanks for helping out.

You use his effect to turn any Face Up Plot Twist in your resource row face down. Now, his effect is amazingly good. Say the turn before you used a Signal Flare. Now, you can reuse it to get another card. Say you used a Acrobatic Dodge during your last turn, well, bring out Dr. Doom, and you get to use it again. Get the picture? His effect can be too good sometimes.

Plus u can chain his effect when he comes in to play for example.....

Bring out doom play mystical paralysis then turn mystical paralysis face down.

Not to mention that's only HALF his effect...Stopping Plot Twists from being played from the hand is extremely useful.

I take it you're unaware that Doom decks (and their variants) are tier 1 decks, then?

As everyone else said, the 4-drop Dr. Doom's effects are definitely useful. The ability to re-use a Plot Twist is just brutal, and locking off your opponents from using Plot Twists in their hands is definitely a good thing.

I'm not sure why you are able to chain mystical with lv 4 doom.
Mystical says that you have to exhaust dr doom as an Additional cost to play mysical. It doesnt work...how can you flip it if you have to have had him in play to exhaust him? Its a lose / lose situation; you can flip mystical and you have no dr doom to exhaust or; you can flip it after he is recruited and since he has NOT just come into play you cant flip it back down?
Or, is th is the scenario where it works??:
Play mystical on the 4 drop, then recruit dr doom. Exhaust him in response to the mystical being played. Flip mystical back down in response to Doom4 coming into play.

I don't know if you're coming from a YGO background, where you can't chain to a summon or not...However, in this game, you're allowed to respond to a character coming into play by putting their effect on the chain.

So, Doom comes into play, you activate Mystical Paralysis, exhaust your Dr. Doom, and now Dr. Doom's effect would take place, and you can choose to turn Mystical Paralysis back down.
