um prices are insane overseas

i was in barcilona at a card store named Black lotus for fnm 2 weeks ago.
1 pack of m10 was 4.10 euro wich is like 5.70 us rughly. any idea why our prices our so cheap in america. also cards like jenerica noble (noble hierarch) was 20 euros at the card store

Yeah, American prices make me pretty jealous. EUR 4.00 for me. They're even higher in Britain, which is non-Euro. And we can't order sealed product online because WotC prohibits stores from selling out of their regions.

I don't know why the prices are so much higher. It may be an EU thing; free trade inside the EU at the price of expensive trade outside of it. But I can't say for certain.

Wizards is a US company and so part of it is simply the location of the headquarters is in america. Another is I do know they undergo import taxes when distributed to Europe but I cannot say how much. I wanna make the claim its around 10 percent but not certain.
