I've kept all of my cards over the years but I see there's a new type of card out called a Planes Walker. Could someone explain these cards to me?
Let's use Ajani Goldmane as an example.
He costs 2 plains and 2 any color to bring out.
In his power/tough area is simply a 4, what does this mean?
Also he has three stated effects.
+1 you gain 2 life.
-1 put a +1/+1 token on each creature you control, they have vigilance until the end of turn.
-6 Put a white creature token into play with "This creatures power and toughness are equal to your life."
I have no idea what the activation requirements for those effects mean.

Okay, if/when I get them I'll know how to use them.
New question.
What is "Type 2" the Magic site doesn't have any lists or information associated with it and I'd like to know in the event I decide to participate.
I just rebuilt my red black deck (Scaled down significantly from the speed and power it had nearly a decade ago) to what I believe is legal but with Wizards banning sets left and right for a couple of months then shifting things I have no clue what's what.
Most if not all of my in use red is legal (Except Kamahl, Pit Fighter I think) but other than drudge skeletons and Royal Assassin (Reprinted in M10 apparently) I have no idea if my stuff is legal.
So, if someone could tell me what type 2 covers in terms of allowances and disallowances I'd be grateful.

"Type 2" is a way of referring to Standard format.
You can read about it here - http://www.pojo.biz/board/showpost.php?p=8701087&postcount=2
Though I gotta update that a bit..

Apparently my local uses "Extended" making my Kamahl, according to the WotC site, legal for use. yay.

Yep. Extended is, as of right now, legal of all sets Onslaught and up, though upon Zendikar, Onslaught's gone.

HA!
My friend says they're using the Extended format but then says Kamahl is illegal along with tenth edition.
I think he's looking at the Standard list.
