A friend recently taught me how to play this game. I know that I want a black/blue themed deck. I have a good budget on starting to play this game. So I wondering what starter deck or deck boxes, pack, etc. to get.

You could grab 2x Unnatural Schemes, you can use some zombies in there. But that's when you barely started.

You should understand that this MtG forum isn't as active as YGO from upstairs. Other sites, yes, they're that active. But here, only but a handful that has enough experiences and feedback from suggestions to deck criticisms.

Right now is kind of an awkward time to start Magic, as we're in between formats. I wouldn't invest too heavily until the next set, Zendikar, comes out and we get a feel for the new format.

But while you're at it, make sure you grab 4 of the blue-black dual lands from M10, Drowned Catacomb. Dual lands are very useful for multicolor decks, and a trap many new players run into is not having enough mana fixing.
