If they did that you wouldn't be able to use cards with the new back in the same deck as cards with the original.

well not necessarily, most people case their cards, and for most tournaments its required because promos and such have an easily visible lighter backing. Idk if they should or not, but if they did itd probly look cool

I would love to see a new art for the back but as ManiacL said, you would NEED sleeves inorder to play.
