If you dont have Tales of Symphonia, do yourself a favor and pick it up. If you dont have Mario Kart: Double Dash for some reason, get that instead of kirby. F-zero GX is also an awesome racing game. IMO don't bother with Final Fantasy, and get Zelda: 4 Swords, its just a better game (with awesome multiplayer).

Yeah and it kicks ass. If you don't have Metroid Prime get that. Also, do you have to get two games? If you don't save your money for Paper Mario 2 or Metroid Prime 2.

No I don't have to use my money.

Then buy Tales and that will keep you occupied probably until the end of September. Save your money for Paper Mario 2 or Metroid Prime 2.

But it is NOT a turn based one. The fighting is done in real time, and is similar to smash bros. in that way.

And yes. It is a very good game. Just remember to get a walktrhrough or something, otherwise you won't get even a quarter of what there is to be had.

Or, better yet, if you've got a nearby computer (that is, by your TV set and G-Cube), just use an online guide, like GameFAQS. I'm trying not to advertise, but they're real cheap, and it's just a hassle keeping a tab on where you are, but that's about it (run on sentence, I am thinking).
