Undead Knight

So I haven't played since March (I know, what a hiatus) but I'm thinking of getting back into the game. The questions I have are:
1. Can somebody please explain the top decks to me? I've never played against Cat Synchro or Blackwings. Also, if any of the old top decks have dramatically changed, I'd like to get the details on that too.
2. What cards do people recommend Siding?
3. As far as AUSTRALIA goes, How much would it cost to build Cat Synchro (What? I'm a sucker for Rescue Cat)? I'm pretty sure I'm only missing Mind Controls, DSF + Arcanite, Monks and X-Sabers (discounting DAD as I don't think I'll be affording him any time soon).

1) Gladiator Beasts - if you played in march, no big changes here
Lightsworn - same deal as glads
Blackwings - essentially, blackwings use black whirlwind to create a continuous stream of monsters and synchros, usually capping the game with one huge swarm and synching into DSF afterwards. They're incredibly strong in the battle phase, as Armor Master, Gale, Kalut, and Siroco are all capable of altering attack points on the field, and Armor Master is battle-immune. Some variants use GK spy/guard for access to Arcanite, otherwise they basically have no monster sets outside of sangan. As far as s/t's go, icarus attack is a huge card to look out for.
synchro cat - A combo based deck primarily focused on synching multiple times with, you guessed it, rescue cat. Cold Wave is one of the big cards to look out for, as many of the combos get around it, and leave you defenseless. The key combo is summon monk + 2 spells. first monk pitches a spell to summon the second monk, second monk pitches a spell to summon rescue cat. Sac the cat for 2x airbellum, synch for 2 lvl 7 monsters. If your field is open, two DSFs put exactly 8000 damage up themselves. Other than that, the deck has a ton of room for tech, so be ready for anything.
2) Depends on the deck you're running. Vs LS, light mirrors, D.D. crow, skill drain, oppression are all decent. For blackwings, side in destruction to summons, like bottomless trap hole. Black Whirlwind requires a face-up blackwing monster on the field at resolution, so book of moon, bottomless trap hole, trap hole, torrential, etc work fine. Glads hate basic destruction like smashing ground, and Mirror of Oaths hurts them especially bad. Synchro Cat is hard to side effectively against due to cold wave, but continuous effect s/t can get around it, like Summon Limit.
3) Ironically enough, dunno how the prices are in Australia, but in America, DSF ($40 and rising) costs more than a gold rare DAD ($30). Arcanites tend to hit 15-20 in America, airbellums and monks tends to be 5 a piece, and mind control is probably around 8.
Hope it helped

DSF is worth more than DAD
DSF is around 40
DAD is around 25 (got reprinted)
