What kind of archtypes do you wish were real?
like mines would be an archtype that you set the monsters in your s/t zone and you can flip them to activate some kind of effect

I love the archetypes that are based on real animals - especially if the members of said archetypes aren't mechanical or anthropomorphic versions of said animal. So any archetype of just regular (or magic-enhanced) animals is a good archetype in my book. Specifically, a Snail archetype would be sweet.

I'd like to see a Zodiac archetype, with twelve monsters each representing one of the major astrological signs and having effects corresponding to other "Zodiac" monsters on the field with synchronous elements (excluding their own element). So each monster would have something along the lines of 'This monster gets the following effect(s) for each Zodiac monster with the following Attribute(s) on the field:' and would have effects corresponding to the other three elements. Naturally each Zodiac sign is corresponding to their own element (my sign, Libra, is an air sign, so its Attribute would be WIND). Actually, to use my sign as an example, a monster might look like this:
Libra - The Scales
ATK: 0/DEF: 2000
3 Stars
Attribute: WIND
Type: Machine/Zodiac/Tuner
This monster gets the following effect(s) for each Zodiac monster with the following Attribute(s) on the field:
EARTH: Your opponent takes all Battle Damage from battles involving this card.
FIRE: You can increase this monster's Star Level by 1 when it is used for a Synchro Summon.
WATER: You can decrease this monster's Star Level by 1 when it is used for a Synchro Summon.
Another example might be:
Gemini - The Twins
ATK: 1800/DEF: 200
4 Stars
Attribute: WIND
Type: Warrior/Zodiac/Effect
This monster gets the following effect(s) for each Zodiac monster with the following Attribute(s) on the field:
EARTH: When this card attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, destroy it with this effect without flipping it face-up or applying damage calculation.
FIRE: This card gains 300 ATK during the Damage Step only.
WATER: This card can attack twice during the same Battle Phase.
Support for this archetype could include cards that benefit swarms, such as:
Compatibility
Spell Card/Continuous
While this card is face-up on the field, increase the ATK of all Zodiac monsters by 300 points for each Zodiac monster with the same Attribute on the field.
Alignment of the Stars
Spell Card/Continuous
During your Draw Phase, if you draw a Zodiac monster, you can reveal it to your opponent and discard 1 card to Special Summon that monster to your side of the field. Then, you can draw 1 card.
And no archetype is complete without its very own boss monster:
The Zodiac Circle
ATK: 2500/DEF: 1500
7 Stars
Attribute: LIGHT
Type: Fairy/Zodiac/Effect
1 Zodiac Tuner + 1 or more Zodiac non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn, you can equip one Zodiac monster you control to this monster. It gains the equipped monster's effect(s).
Just a thought. ;)

You watch Saint Seiya dont you?
. . . No? . . .
It's...
Astrology . . .
You know, that ancient mysticism crap people used to believe in back when they thought the Earth was the center of the universe, and the sun moved over specific signs during different times of the year (see: why the opposite of your astrological sign is visible on the day of your birth), and for some reason some still believe in today?
I got the idea from reading one of those little astrology books. My two friends, who are each Geminis, decided to get a book that basically describes the next three months of their lives in astrological terms (you know, those one-dollar books you see in line at the checkout). They left the book in my car one Saturday morning while I was off to locals and I thought to myself as I picked it up, "this would make a pretty neat card."
See, each astrological sign corresponds to specific personality traits that are supposed to belong to people born under that sign. So Libras are supposed to be diplomatic and aspire towards balance (the Scale), while Geminis have dualistic personalities (the Twins) and Aquarius is humanitarian and strives for originality (the Water-Bearer). These make up the three air signs in astrology. In Yu-Gi-Oh!, they'd all thus be WIND-Attribute, and would (in a well-thought-out version of what I'm saying) have effects that correspond to the traits attributed to each astrological sign.
...
What's Saint Seiya?
Honestly a Good idea.
Thank you. :)

I would make a stardust arch type. 1 card would be,
Stardust Warrior
****warrior/ effect 1900 atk 1200 def
When your activates a trap during the battle phase, you can tribute this card to negate it. During the end phase of using this effect, this card is special summoned back to the field .
Their field spell would be:
Stardust City
When a "stardust" monster tributes it's self for it's own effect, instead of tributing it, you can put 1 "Stardust Counter on this card". All stardust monsters you control gain 500 attack, while this card is on the field. When this card is destroyed, you lose 1000 life points for each counter on this card.
How do they look?

What's Saint Seiya?
An Anime about Goddess Athena and God Hades waging war on each other. Athena's strongest warriors wear armor based on the 12 zodiac signs.
I always wanted cards based off them, since we have an actual Athena card, therefore some Zodiac Saint would have effect based around Athena as well. Usually in the form of added effects if Athena is on the field, or self sacrifice to keep Athena alive. Too bad it'll probably never happen.

i have always wanted a "judgment" archetype, that revolves around judgment dragon, but are not lightsworn. heres an example
name: judgment warrior
warrior, level 4 light
atk/1800 def/1600
treat this card as any "lightsworn" monster.
for each other judgment monster on the field, this card gains 1 counter.
you can remove 1 counter to draw 1 card and then discard 1 card.
i think it would be pretty cool to have 3 judgment warriors and i judgment knight or something in the grave, and summon jd.
i like it because you dont have to mill all the time, be with the discarding effect, it would work well with wolfs and such. (i think lmao)
The Knights of the Round Table, no idea what they would do I just think it would make a good archetype.

How about an Archetype where you mix Monster Types to make a powerful Effect Monster?
No I don't mean Fusions/Synchros, I mean Effect Monsters that can be summoned by combining two or more Monster Types together.
They could also get effects that vary on the Type of monster used to summon it.
Sort of how Beast Machine King Barbaros Ür (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Beast_Machine_King_Barbaros_%C3%9Cr) works, but much more emphasis on the Types with nice effects.
Another nice idea for an Archetype would be monsters whose effects activate while you hold another monster in hand.
The monster in hand can also use its effect while you control another monster on the field.
Sure it would be vulnerable to Mind Crush and such, but it would be nice to have something like that.
Perhaps an Archetype that centralizes on monsters having the same ATK/DEF value for various effects?
like mines would be an archtype that you set the monsters in your s/t zone and you can flip them to activate some kind of effect
This is a nice idea.
I love the archetypes that are based on real animals - especially if the members of said archetypes aren't mechanical or anthropomorphic versions of said animal. So any archetype of just regular (or magic-enhanced) animals is a good archetype in my book. Specifically, a Snail archetype would be sweet.
"Generic" idea, but practical.
I'd like to see a Zodiac archetype, with twelve monsters each representing one of the major astrological signs and having effects corresponding to other "Zodiac" monsters on the field with synchronous elements (excluding their own element). I think Zodiac signs fit very well here.

We sort of do got this, but instead they are thieves and they don't look at face-down cards.

Just a thought. ;)
actually the boss monsters for this cards should be
Pegasus - Seiya (Wind)
Andromeda - Shuhn (Light)
Dragon - Shyryu - (Earth)
Cygnus - Hyoga (Water)
Phoenix - Ikki (Fire)
and assault mode would just be adding "Divine" to their names before their Constellations...

Kitsune theme of cards that can act as both tuners and non tuners, where the number of tails indicate the card's level, with a level 9 Synchro being the boss monster.

You're my hero
This also reminds me of a conversation I had last format when Zombie-Syncros were good.
Me: There Should be a lv9 Zombie Fox Syncro
Friend: Why Zombie
Me: Cause I run zombies and foxes are adorable
Kid: OMG What's a fox!!!!!! (Checks my cards thinking it's a new type of card or some crap)

what was he expecting, some support card that allows him to "DO A BARREL ROLL!"?
it would be a neat archtype
crazy tech cards and such
would they be beasts or would they be something else?
like divine-beast ;3

If I could, I'd made them Spirit types, since that would be most accurate, but Zombie or Beast would work as well.
Misawa in the Manga uses a Nine-Tailed fox card which is a zombie type.

I full-heartedly approve.
They'd be zombie as in the OCG I believe thats meant to represent Ghosts as well as other undead.
On the archetype I'd like:
I'd like Valon's Armor monsters. These monsters would need lots of skill to be able to perfect and I like that. They aren't just the typical beatdown type archetypes. (I like how they revolve around Psychic Armor Head in a similar way Genex relies on Genex Controller)
Plus, its awesome that the anime cards literally let Valon falcon punch Joey.
Unfortunatly...without the Seal of Orichalcos its unlikely that they will come out..

Problem with the armour monsters is you can play one spell to special summon four, several of which are one for ones, instantly destroying whatever they battle.

Yeah, another reason they wont come out.
I dunno. I love the whole 0 or near 0 atk, but interesting effects.
Well... if they're gonna come out, it'll likely be soon as Orichalco Shurnunos got made (even if completely changed)

actually the boss monsters for this cards should be
Pegasus - Seiya (Wind)
Andromeda - Shuhn (Light)
Dragon - Shyryu - (Earth)
Cygnus - Hyoga (Water)
Phoenix - Ikki (Fire)
and assault mode would just be adding "Divine" to their names before their Constellations...
*See: Not based on "Saint Seiya" anime
Sorry, but I kinda don't watch anime, I just like the idea of a Zodiac wheel complete with constellations.
I wonder if this idea could actually go somewhere if I suggested it to someone... Is there an outlet for these types of things to be found anywhere? Or is this all wishful thinking?

mybe mutants with a built in mind control effect that after three turns if your opponent can't destroy or re posese it, it will mutate (or just get removed and special a mutant from the deck or something).

Instead of pretending to use Spellcaster/Dinosaur/whatever on Ice looking monsters, they should just make the type Ice. Ex: Frostosaurus, Mobius, Ice Master.

I would like to see an Arachnid archetype based off numerous types of spiders. Or an idea for a Dark Machine archetype called "Soulless" which are mechanized monstrosities that increase in power and gain additional effects whenever monsters are destroyed/removed from play.
Possible idea for a synchro or boss monster would be that it has an effect where it can tribute a Soulless monster to negate an effect that would destroy this card and destroy it. When a monster is destroyed it will gain 300 attack and if this card destroys a monster by battle, if that monster is returned to the field it loses 1000 attack & defense and it's effect.

Good news! We're getting this in Stardust Overdrive.
I wish they'd simply make ICE-type monsters.

I always wanted to make a Food-based archtype. Like with Hungry Burger. And of course their boss card would be something along the lines of. . .
"Doughnut of Destruction", or something like that.

The Fossil archetype from the anime. But make only 1 Fusion per type (perhaps make some types share a fusion, like one for both Warriors and Spellcasters and another for Dinosaurs, Repitles and Dragons), an make it only for the most popular types right now (include more as future sets are released and new types become playable).
Some kind of "Scavenger" archetype that revolves around keeping your opponent's Graveyard as empty as possible.
"Librarian" archetype that revolves around keeping a healthy hand.
"Air Baloon" archetype that swarms, attacks directly and burns a little.
"Ant" archetype that revolves around a Field Spell and a Queen.
"Bully" archetype that punishes level 3 and lower monsters.
"Stargazing" archetype that punishes level 4 and higher monsters (especially level 6 and higher).
An "Ant Eater" monster trap archetype.
A "Nightmare" archetype that revolves around deck destruction, but in some controlled way (ie, search your deck for a card and end it to the Graveyard).
