Hi, i haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh for years (Chaos had just started iirc), and I was wondering if my deck is still capable of being used competitively.

High Level Monsters:

Lower Level (4 stars or less)

Well Magician of Faith i know for a fact is banned now, and i think Robbin Goblin is as well... Hmm it could be a good deck, however u might want to upgrade a little bit, Man Eater Bug is a surprise in that deck, however, it's a pretty good card bc it could surprise ppl, i wouldn't run it too heavily in todays game though... i would run some new synchro and tuners to set up for lava golem... that'd be a pretty sweet setup

In tournaments ?? If I may be honnest, I don't think you'd stand much of a chance, Witch of the Black Forest is also banned.

1x The End of Anubis ( still ok I think, especially in a Gravekeeper deck )
1x Jinzo ( pretty good monster, but now not too good anymore )
1x Lava Golem ( decent for Burners and possibly Fire Decks, but Dark Ruler Ha Des could help out if you go for a Fiend deck, but it depends on what theme you'd like to build it. )

Lower Level (4 stars or less)

1x Gearfried The Iron Knight
1x Blazing Inpachi
2x Soul Tiger ( way outdated )
1x Luster Dragon ( good card still today )
1x Mystic Tomato ( how about three of those ?? )
2x Drillago ( not sure if it's still ok, but there are monsters that after attacking the way he does switch on defense mode, that way you don't lose LPs )
2x Man Eater Bug ( better with Newdoria, it's more reliable and can be more versatile )
2x Magician Of Faith ( banned )
1x Witch of the black forest ( banned )
2x Gren Maju Da Eiza
1x Opticlops ( you might want to replace it with Archfiend Soldier, also fiend and 1900 Atk points instead of 1800 Atk )
1x Penguin Soldier

So, you should decide on what theme you'd like your deck to be about, looks to me like a good fiend deck would be nice in your case, lots of them have already been mass released so it would be affordable to build up.

But on this, sorry if you don't like me to say this, but in a tournament, you just don't stand a chance with your deck the way it used to be... :(

The only card in that deck that is even remotely used in competition these days is Dust Tornado every now and again. If you want to come back into the game, I'd recommend heading over to the deck forums and looking at what kind of decks are being built these days and try to build something around that. I would recommend Synchro Kitty, since it's very cheap to build and easy to use. It's also this year won the European Championships and the Canadian Nationals.

To be honest, No. Decks this format are way to fast for things such as sacking for things like Jinzo. If you want to really get back in the game look at the last SJC articles and decklists.
