How much have you spent?

How much have you spent on all your cards combined? and what is the card you payed the most for (not one that will sell for most).

I reckon over the years I probably have spent £150ish on my cards and decks, have Water, Plant, Spellcaster & Alien decks with the card I paid most for was Eradicator Epidemic Virus about £20ish (it was worth more at one point).

hmm overall i've prob spent approx £60 - £70 on my deck - 2 Solemn, Mirror, 2 Raiza, 2 T-King, 2 Sec Village .... on my deck but over the years i've been playing ygo - which i have lost count prob over £200

but more or less payed £30 for a DMOC on ebay - when it came out as a gold rare/... - since then not much else i've spent much on... although 3 weeks later i re-call it getting banned so not the best investment on my part but ive managed to re-deem myself since...

I payed about $120 for my Honest set (spread out over time). My Vennominaga was $40. Aside from those (rare) instances, I don't think I've payed more than $15 for any individual card.

I've been playing since the game came out.... But i rarely bought Boosters... Not until IOC and the SE... but i have probably spent around $1000
My deck cost me around the vicinity of $75..... (i run cat Synchro... and i got my monks for free... :D)
The most expensive Single i have bought was a Super Electro Magnetic Voltech Dragon for about $3

In single cards, less than $200 (I really don't like spending money in singles)

I have spent approximately $5k over the past 5 yrs on this game; however, I have made over $8k off of this game and still maintain the trade list I have in my sig, my decks that are in my sig, as well as a personal collection of cards that are not listed (such as CP Holos, secret rares, etc).

Single - the most expensive thing I ever bough was a chazz Princeton booster box for 59 USD ( I didn't know buying singles was more efficient). On a single card, 27 dollars for a cyber ogre 2 when it was released and overhyped...plus that was my worst purchase ever since it's now three dollars at the same hobby store...

I like how there are people who try to not think about how much they spent. If you enjoy the game, and it has kept you interested there's no shame in spending a fair amount of money on it.

After all, as long as you have money to live on, then its all good to have fun with the "loose change". Besides there are plenty more expensive hobbies/games out there :)

The first time I quit, 5 years ago, I sold everything and bought a $1,500 laptop and had money left over. The second time I quit, a year ago or so, I sold 2 complete LS decks and a Tele-Dad deck for another grand + or so. I bought over 100 DLG packs and sold the Gorz to international buyers on eBay making I don't even know how much. Did the same with the Prisma tins.

I really don't want to know what I have spent, but I have made a lot in the process.

That's for sure, the only way to make money in this game is to keep cycling through stuff. I sold a TP Morphing Jar and Royal Decree for about $400. Now they are commons. I'd consider myself lucky to get $50 for both if I still had them.

I am estimating that I may have spent up to 1500ish since the 2 years that I have started playing. Although I am guessing that all my decks, girlfriend's decks, and my collection may be closer to 2000. I definitely know since Gold Series 1, I have been a lot more conservative with how I plan to spend my money and working out deals, so that I tend to minimize my losses. I spent around 100 overall on Gold Series 2 (between the packs and singles), but I basically got everything I wanted.

My biggest purchase on a single...I believe it is 40 per Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo after it came out; now I am waiting until it is about 10 each to get another playset.

All in all, I've spent less than I've made from this game. Apart from the 20-odd japanese boosters I bought back in '98, I only used to buy packs from shops that let me scale them. Scaled packs normally have a holo that I can sell to at least make my money back and more.

In the recent months I've made around £300 selling cards and have spent £125 on a CCV and £30 on a Charge. Overall, during the 10 odd years I've been involved with this game, I think I'm still plus a couple of hundred pounds.
