this games is gonna be cool. you even get the wireless trading adptor.not to mention the 4 new speicals moves. i wonder if you can get mew with out gameshrk this time? im starting out with charmander so i can catch suicune. the trainers pocket manuel siad there is more to the game than just kanto. it showed me a lil ship going away from kanto in right directions. so does that mean we can go to joto and hohen rejin? ( i cant spell very good)

No. You are going to the Sevii Islands which contain Johto Po kemon, Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Deoxys. It also contains the machine that let's you trade with R/S.

You never needed a gameshrk to get one (whatever a gameshrk is...). Mew was free.
Pikachu is capable of Volt Tackle
Since when was this a proven fact?

Hmm.. I dunno. It could've been when I went to serebii and looked up Volt Tackle and there was also a screenshot that showed pikachu using Volt Tackle... hmm.. oh yes! That was it! Really look on serebii more often

What would they give Pikachu this special new attack? Is it just because of the show? I'm sure there are other better choices.

Volt Tackle shouldn't be restricted for Pikachu. Here's the link where I found it:
http://www.serebii.net/attackdex/volttackle.shtml
Edit: Just went looking around and some sites are saying Pikachu learns Volt Tackle in the re-make of Yellow(If there even is gonna be a re-make. probably is) Damn this is confusing... maybe Volt Tackle isn't in fire red/leaf green.... oh well, I personally don't care about which pokemon learns it

Volt Tackle IS in FR/LG AND RSC. RSC also had the elemental Hyper Beams. They were just impossible to get. Hack the game. They're there. They were THE unsolved mystery of RS. It would be correct to say that RBY/GSC didn't have the elemental Hyper Beams. (Or Volt Tackle, or Iron Defense, or Muddy Water.) Otherwise, it would be impossible to trade your starter to RS after it'd learned the move.
And a picture means nothing. You can get Volt Tackle on anything. One guy used Volt Tackle on Gyarados before FR/LG were even HEARD of.
