It's a Duelist Pack. It's bound to have something completely new in it. But since most of the cards in this set were introduced 2 generations ago, the best chance for a new card will probably be a card we've seen Yugi use but hasn't been introduced into the TCG yet. And since there's so many that fit this category, there's no telling what it may be.

Keep that in mind.

If they're putting Paladin in, I'd say there's a pretty good chance that they put Buster Blader in. Hopefully if they put Poly in it will be the alternate art, since that's the one Yugi always used in the anime.

Without CCV? Aside from the fact that CCV being in there as a reprint would be a good thing contrary to what you might say, there is no way that a CCV-less Kaiba DP would be better than the Yugi DP. Kaiba's cards were more of the beatdown sort, an era mostly long gone.

A Kaiba DP hasn't even been announced yet to begin with. Not to mention that Turbo Packs are primarily not-for-sale, tournament prize support products.

I did. It's still not a good reason. I believe it's been clarified pretty clearly that in the TCG, the majority of the players are teenagers and young adults. Even though it's marketed towards kids, I don't see that many kids playing this game. Which leads me to believe that teenagers/young adults outnumber the number of kid players.

The only small redeeming quality this has now is the Alt Art Poly (as that is special, other alt arts, not so much) and as I said, its a small quality when the main card, Mirror Force. Hasnt' been given a low rarity. It was a Super in Dark Beginnings..surely it could have been a Super or less here.

I won't be buying as many now, which is a real shame.

Well, that's true. People do get sued for the stupidest of reasons nowadays. I mean, teachers get sued for failing dumb kids. But even though parents are a factor, I definitely wouldn't worry about this scarring a whole lot of kids. I mean, when I was 10, all my fellow classmates knew what Playboy was.

No you're right. It has been reprinted a few times, but in every single reprint it's been an Ultra Rare. Except in one of the Gold Series, in which it was a Gold Rare. But that's practically the same.

This will only be its 3rd reprint. Its GLD1 reprint was a short printing, though not to the degree of that of Crush Card.

Yeah, but a super in a pack like that is harder to find than a regular ultra. Pulling any super might have been more likely than pulling any ultra, but pulling that specific super was less likely to pull the specific ultra.

I've seen one guy who had two in his trade binder. He didn't have any ultra ones.

I hope Mirror Force is easy to pull like the ultras in the Yusei packs. I don't like the idea of having to buy a box to have a good chance of pulling one though. :/ And I was hoping that this reprint would lower the price of the gold rare Mirror Force a good bit. Doesn't seem likely now. At least it's getting reprinted.

Up to this point this product seems to be a package of promo reprint, or more bluntly, to reprint again mirror force to get money from your pocket. (it is an ultra rare aint it). they just bundled the other yet reprinted promo to make a pack. i dont think there would be any NEW new cards. otherwise it would already be printed on the advertisements to push sells.

but if there are new cards (playable Osiris!?) i salute 'the card company' for keeping the seal so tight.

Its safe to assume that all the alternate art cards will be at least super. MF is Ultra, so that leaves us with 1 unknown Ultra left, and it better be a new cards, or else this set fails hard. Arkana Knight Joker would be the obvious choice, but I doubt they'd give it to us through a duelist pack.

There are only 2 ultras in the set, 30 packs per box, and the ratio is 1:15 for an ultra. If you buy a box you're pretty much guaranteed a mirror.

I'm sorry. Were you expecting God Cards, Rare Mirror Force, and OCG exclusives?

Sure, this fails so far for lack of OCG cards (especially considering 2 are Yugi character staples since Battle City), but is there any other reason? And as best as I know we're still missing about 10 cards, so is it not possible to maybe have one OCG exclusive in the remaining unspoiled part?

As for Mirror Force as an Ultra Rare: Really, for its power level, did anyone honestly expect anything much lower? I mean, as a Super I could see it (since usually Duelist Packs have only new cards at Ultra Rare), but at Rare? And considering Konami seems to shy away from intentional short-printing (if Gold Series 2 is an indication)? If anyone gives this pack "fail" just for that, they're going to learn soon that unofficial information is called that for a reason (and why Kevin Tewart is against websites that appear to the crowd like they know everything and don't need to cite sources).

Duelist Pack Yusei was excellent. It's the best and quickest way for players to get a bunch of Tuners and Synchros, and it helped me out a lot. Plus, it gave us the only Level 4 Synchro. There's no better pack for new players and retuning players to get used to the game.

Anyhow you guys have to remember that this was releases as a collectors product,and won't have cards as great as Mali,Trooper,D-Draw etc.But don't get your hopes up we might get Dark Renewal as the other ultra.

For those who said that Yugi never used Takahashi sensei's buff Dark Magician have to remember,the reason we are not getting the red one is cause that one had an owner other then yugi,and has a different number on the bottom.

I've been wanting the LE5 Paladin,and DMG ever since they came out.I wanted the Summoned Skull,and Poly ever since I knew they existed.

I can't say say with absolute certainty, but it's extremely unlikely that anime-only cards will be in this pack. Don't hold your breath for Electromagnetic Turtle.

So is it confirmed that the Magnet Warriors are not appearing in this pack? Cause if so, and IF Arcana Knight Joker is not in this pack, then the Royal Knights had no purpose to be in this pack. Yugi used the Magnet Warriors far more than he relied on the Royal Knights.

Erm, no. I have a Mirror Force. I want it reprinted. A) I don't like proxying cards, so I could use some cheap ones for all of my other decks and B) There's no reason why a card that's important for every deck should be so expensive, especially with the number of reprints it has.

I have, at present, 9 decks (in all fairness, I only use three often). All of which would love a Mirror Force. Come to think of it, my Power Tool Dragon deck would also love my Frog deck's United We Stand.

Yes, but unless you often play multiple duels at once with those decks, you can't use all 9 decks at once anyway, so just swap the cards in and out as needed. Plus if you use the same card sleeves for the different decks, it speeds up the process.

Kind of a given considering that Atem used that cheap spell card to pilfer the SoRL Yugi had over to his side of the field so that he could attack while Yugi was stopped dead in his tracks, and subsequently summoned Obelisk.

It makes less sense for someone's cards other than Yugi's to be in Duelist Pack Yugi than it does for alternate art versions of cards Yugi did use.

Yeah, I don't like proxying cards either. Besides, switching is kinda annoying when you only have 1 and decide to use the two decks against one another. That said, I only have 2 Japanese ones (common, I might add :( If it was going to be Japanese it could've been holo or something), which conveniently aren't allowed at regionals.
