So i Spent the night at Jay Quick's house and we tested until like 4 am. So i finally went to bed around 4:30 and only got an hour of sleep. I woke up ate breakfast and got ready to leave. We finally leave at 6:20, and begin to embark on the 3 hour drive to Charlotte. We arrive there a little after 9:30 and im scramblin to get 2 sarcs and an Arcanite Magician. Luckily i just bought 2 sarcs from the vendors and Maximus bought me an Arcanite, thanks alot man :D. So we sit down for the meeting, they say some things i didn't really listen, they collect decklists and then the pairings are posted.....
Round 1
Evan Lee(LS) vs. Samuel Kendal(Skill Drain Beatdown)
Game 1
He wins the dice roll and proceeds to go first, he summons Gemini Elf and sets a fd s/t. I go sarc for JD, charge for jain and summon lumina pitch jain grab jain swing over the elf then 1k direct. pass mill like 3 diff LS in 5 mills already at 4 different names. He draws birthrights the elf summons krebons synchs for goyo tries to swing and runs into an honest. sets 1 and passes. i draw he plays drop off he's at 5700 im thinking he's either bad, or has Gorz, so i go Lumina into wulf summon Aurkus attack for game? He picks up his cards....
Game 2
He goes first summons gemini elf again and sets one. I draw, recharge garoth, set gardna and crush and say go he summons another elf attacks, i crush, hit 2 in hand and his 2 elves, proceed to make quick work a couple turns later with his no cards to my swarm.
Round 2
Evan Lee(LS) vs. Mitchell(BW)
Game 1
I win the roll choose to go first i open nuts and have Lumina Garoth and wulf and a fd roar, end up hitting 2 LS with the garoth and draw 2 1 a JD and an honest.... needless to say i take this one fairly easy.
Game 2
He goes first summons shura sets one fd s/t passes. i go recharge wulf, summon Lumina pitch ehren for wulf attempt to swing he icarus's i end, im thinking he may get this game, he gets me down to 1550, but i manage to comeback and win with a late game beckoning.
Mitchell was a cool guy, and a fun guy to duel, we talked between rounds, and he coulda maybe finished x-2 if it weren't for not having a DSF...
Round 3
Evan Lee(LS) vs. Sean Macfarlane(BW)
I remember playing this guy back in the Glad format, i was still playing LS, and i managed to pull out a tough game 3, so i know this guy is a pretty good player. So game 1 commences....
Game 1
I win the dice roll and go first, summon Lyla set roar and pass. He sets 2 s/t and a fd monster, i draw use effect hit something can't remember then trib for celestia he icarus's, i reborn lyla and poke for 1700 and pass(holding 2 JD's). he summons shura tries to attack i roar he sets a fd s/t and passes. I draw use lyla's effect its book of moon drop JD blow Jd number 2 and another monster for game.
Game 2
Can't remember much from this game except i run into a spy and he has advantage, but i sarc for storm get it, play it and proceed to win with LS's and honest plays.
We talk a little after match and play for fun.
Round 4
Evan Lee(LS) vs. Russell Lindberg(Synchro Dad)
I know Russell is another great player and that im gonna be in for a good match, so we talk a little and then we start.
Game 1
He wins roll, goes first whats new, opens with a fd monster and 2 s/t's. I draw he shoots my hand of Ehren, Honest, Necro, cold wave, Beckoning and something else bad. tosses the Ehren back and i cold wave and set the honest praying he can't kill it, well he does, and i take a huge negative and i just can't recover.
Game 2
I side trap eaters thinking here comes either Mirrors or skill drain, but didn't see either. I remember him having a Colossal on the board and i just kept doing damage with honests cuz i didn't have anything else, manage to win this way...
Game 3
He goes ROTA for stratos, seach mali d draw mali, allure, and sets one. I don't have a very strong opening, and he gains advantage quickly, but later sponges hand to make colossal and stardust, i eventually come back and rid both and im left with a DSF 1 in hand to his grepher his rips brain plays it swings im forced to gardna and he tribs my fighter off, i draw get a Lumina, and pitch my in beckoning for effect to get wulf and swing for game.
That was close...had to pull **** outta my ass to win, had fun duels though Russell is a nice guy.
Round 5
Evan Lee(LS) vs. Vedhas(LS)
I know this is gonna be a mirror cuz i was watching to see what was around me during mine and Russells last match, so im prepared to open with Aurkus ;).
Game 1
I win roll charge for Aurkus, summon set roar and pass. He summons jain tries to swing over i honest, he sets a fd s/t i go, summon garoth and he roars, i end gain none with garoth, and i just slowly get advantage protecting my Aurkus and always being one up with dudes on the board.
Game 2
He goes mimics my plays practically from game 1, and hits a couple free wulfs, i crush card him to only hit his 2 on the board wulfs, and reveal his hand off 2 vortex, brain control, bottomless and Lumina. Later rip a Judgment, but knowing he still has outs i reborn plague summon jain made goyo then use plague's effect to make a stardust, i slowly gain advantage back due to his 3 honests and 2 Judgments in grave, and manage to win a couple turns later.
Round 6
Evan Lee(LS) vs. Christopher Yarbrough(Cat Synchro)
Game 1
i make a great opening with recharges and a charge of the light brigade, and get early momentum, he tries to slow it down with cat plays, but it was too much early for him to keep up.
Game 2
He wins this one after like 30 minutes of back in forth, a late game Arcanite just kicked my ass, and i tried to stall and try to sack him, but im not at Jay Quick's level so none of that went on.
Game 3
I open god, have 2 JD's out by turn 2 and a full sworm, but he has light mirror, so i press for like 7850, he tries to stall with colossal, but he was just gonna lose in time regardless, he he stormed his mirror, and i blew up and won.
Round 7
Evan Lee(LS) vs. Henry Stephenson "Bubba"
I played this guy at the last regional i went to and he sacked me hard game 3, so i didn't really wanna play him, plus he was 5-1 and I was 6-0 who ever likes to play down?.....
Game 1
He wins roll, goes first recharge, recharge,charge... Lumina, Garoth, Wulf,Wulf, first turn, he just anally ***** me i try to comback, but DSF just says no....
Game 2
Pretty much the same ****, i have a doo doo hand, and he has the nuts i have no chance i scoop after like turn 4 or 5.
I'm a little nervous now knowing that i just lost to a 5-1 and im thinking imma have to win my next round to top so here we go....

Evan Lee(LS) vs. Randall Jordan "Capital G"(BW with salvos)
Game 1
Don't remember who went first, but he has card advantage with his dekoichi plays with roar, he eventually makes Rose Dragon and blows my **** up, i eventually comeback with a Goyo over his Stardust, i win a little later with a late push.
Game 2
He triest to play slow setting **** fd, but im thinkin no thanks?, try and keep up i got out Judment and just started getting amazing positives and win this one pretty quick.
Sorry Cap G, I prevented history, and he finished 10th, best of luck in the future.
So they post the top 8, and i finished 6th, and i look and see that Jason Adams finished third so i figure imma have to play him.
So i organize all my **** and made sure i de-sided like 20 times, hand them my deck box, and was good to go, we get ready to play and end up shuffling for like 10 minutes, and then we began....

Game 1
I win roll and charge for Aurkus, knowing he plays mind controls, and set roar, pass and he's up. He sets a fd monster and a fd s/t. I draw summon something attack and it's des koala, so i took 1600 and attacked for 1200, and passed. It was back and forth until i dropped Celestia late game, and pushed for enough damage.
Game 2
He sets a monster and a s/t. I draw don't remember what happens next, except he plays cold wave and i know im going to win now lol, i chain my roar and he looks upset, then i trib for celestia, and he doesn't have any answers, so i charge hit a wulf, and he knows i have another monster for game and he offers the handshake. GG's man.
So i finished the tourny 8-1, and placed 3rd, got my invite, mat, and gift card, and called it a day of Yugioh.
So, we leave there a little after 7 and we head to Buffalo Wild Wings, by the time we get there im exhausted, but it was delicious, and got home around 11:30 and crashed.
