How Bad Was Apex Guys

Well after a long day of dueling its over. Apex WAS LAME well kinda, I felt more like I was in the military because I kept hearing a whistle all day. You could only have one binder no backpacks and as usual cossy S*U*C** yea im so glad that this system is just a temp hopefully konami will work out all the bugs when they give us the new version. I did not trade too much because I got tired of being like yea I got that in the car let me go get it. So I played Kitty Syncro today but it was bad and I believe that it was just the build I was using but somehow I managed to pile that build to get my nationals invite so the day wasn't wasted at least lol. What did everyone else think some people said it was not like I believe coloumbus? Maybe it was another place but I heard of a really bad regionals.

yea I didnt need judges today for much so I was good on judging mostly just the shop and cossy got to me but hey its a regional the next should be better thanks

I Can Say This Was By Far Better Than The One In Columbia, Sc. Not As Hot , Well Organized, Judges Much Better, It Was A Little Small For The Crowd. Noisy? Yes But It Is Expected When You Get 80 Plus People In A Room Of That Size, Infact Any Size Building With That Amount Of Folks Will Be Noisy. Expect It. As Far As The Whistle Thing Goes. It Worked When Needed. When Not Needed It Was Annoying. Over All, I WILL Be Back Again TO PLAY, Nice Job!

LOL hello this is Karen? the Head Judge and DH3 was obviously FAR more qualified to be a head Judge than myself...he was amazing yesterday...I was honored to be a part of this event with him

we simply could not have pulled this off without him and I've already talked to the tournament organizer (the only official konami position at this point) because I'd be fine with being just an assitant...I've just got to get that cleared with the store owner...but yeah I'm here to tell you I completely agree

I'll be frank and honest I feel my talents are more oriented towards tournament organizing than judging....but someone had to do it yesterday and if you guys noticed our store owner doesn't like surprises....I'll work that for next time

but Gillie...dude I am not worthy and you showcased a level of experience and skill that I am personally in awe of....and i said it yesterday and I'd say it again...it was a privilege to have worked with you. I think we make a great team...

and what about the military? whoever posted that gave me the biggest compliment I think I could have had for the event... go Air Force! Go Army OOH AAH!!!

ok..head judge karen here reporting for duty on pojo (again!)

I'm hearing a lot of discontent over rulings and I don't think I can dismiss this out of hand....there's just too much to be ignored

Gillie let's give them a chance to present their case to us in a calm and reasonable post and let's review it again. The materials have not been sent to my knowledge ( I say that because I got Mitch Bjerk's decklist today...will post later) so if someone can demonstrate on here that an improper call was made I have no problem with going back and making a revision on the tournament slip. I drive by the store on my way home from work everyday.

If it's just random blathering hate mail then it should be dismissed. My normal reaction would be to just ignore this and go on with life as usual. But a good friend recently told me I should not run from my problems that I should always face them head on and I think that's good advice (thanks Mike)

Please post the round and I'll need your real name....if you don't want your real name on the site private message it to me referencing the handle you use on pojo.

and just the facts of the gameplay please ... the decision may not change but I promise I will review our actions closely and take appropriate action as is outlined in konami's penalty guidelines and tournament policies. Fair enough?

edit: Game Losses that were issued cannot be reversed as the tournament is completed - To my knowledge only 1 was given out yesterday...procedural error (gillie feel free to refresh my memory on this) there was another game loss that was to be upgraded to match loss for illegal deck but the player chose to drop and it was not pursued. The revisions i refer to above are for the written warnings issued. As for the game rulings which are being disputed here on pojo - my intent is to educate you on why we ruled the way we did. If an error did occur in our judgment I can only offer my sincere apologies and attach a note to the tournament slip that will go to konami reflecting that this was an error on the part of the judging staff and not on the part of the player(s)
