Putting this up so kay wont bug me anymore !
Didn’t want to play GB after getting sacked so horribly vs Lightsworn. So I decided to use a blackwing I been using for about a month got a lot of testing in thanks to YVD and have had really good luck against Lightsworn and the Mirror match only GB I wasn’t so sure of . Wake up around 7:30 head to Ervin’s and then from there to the regional. Around 250 ppl 8 rounder.
Round 1 vs Andrew “gladiator Beasts”
G1. I go first and pass my opening turn he summons a laquari and attacks for 1800 and sets 1. I heavy play whirlwind summon Shura and summon 2 gales and otk =) 6200-0
G2. I draw all m/t’s he T sets and ends. I set reckless/bottomless he flip summons samnite and attacks for 1600 and tags for laquari I bottomless the laquari and he ends. I draw oppression and set it. He summons rescue cat and I chain oppression to its effect. I draw a gale and end. He summons prisma and hits for 1700 sets 1 and ends. I summon gale half the prisma and atk. Set a bottomless and end. He summons samnite I bottomless he ends. I draw and in my draw phase play reckless greed . I play cold wave and end up going dsf and dad for game =) 3900-0
Round 2 vs Kapono “demise”
G1. He goes gold sarc for black salvo and summons manju for Advanced ritual art. I play whirlwind summon shura atk over manju and 1300 directly with gale. I set bottomless and roar. He goes for demise I chain bottomless and roar. Next turn I otk with bora/gale into dsf. 8000-0
G2. He opens up with a hand full of normal monsters I beat down his mechanical chaser with stardust dragon and have bth for his dark strike fighter he scoops. 8000-0
Round 3 vs Alfred “gladiator beast” I play like every regional
G1. I open up with whirlwind and shura for kalut. He sets bestiari and waboku I atk the bestiari he wabokus and tags for murmilo. Main Phase 2 I summon sirocco search gale for whirlwind and synchro for stardust and set bottomless. He proving grounds for bestiari and fuse for gyzarus I negate with stardust he trys to reborn stardust I bottomless. Next turn I go blizzard reborn shura summon gale and bora gg. 8000-0
G2. I have pretty good control over the field with oppression but I waste a roar that costs me this game. He ends up heavying my torrential oppression and whirlwind and goes rescue/reborn for game.
G3. I have the field locked up with oppression again and poking away slowly. I end up winning cuz of it 6400-0
Round 4. George “Gladiator beast”
G1. I basically just go nuts with whirlwind and shura. 2nd turn I otk with dad and dsf. 8000-0
G2. I summon stardust my first turn and have oppression set =) 6400-0
Round 5. Andrew Taylor. “gladiator beast”
G1. I drew double whirlwind gale and trunade I was getting beatdown pretty bad til I drew a BW. I trunade for game. 700-0
G2. We come down to top decking I have a cold wave and he has a bth set. I just need 1 monster for game and draw dad =( I end he goes proving ground for laquari gg. 0-600
G3. Hes stalling horribly for time he over extends to drop me to 3600. I couldn’t make up the lp difference even though I had complete control all he had was equeste and econ. I had blizzard/gale/kalut torrential set whirlwind active and cold wave in hand. I can only drop him down to 5400 so I lose 1 more turn and I had game. 3600-5400.
Round 6. Vs Bruce “dad”
G1. He sets a monster and ends. I summon bora and hit tomato for 600. He searches sangan. I set reckless and end. He goes stratos for malicious. Stratos and sangan attack for 1100. And he ends. I summon blizzard bring back bora and synchro for goyo hit stratos for 1000 and and take control of it. I end he uses sangan to destroy his stratos. Summons krebons and ends. I dark eruption back the blizzard use it to reborn bora. Special another bora from my hand brain the krebon synchro krebon and def bora for gaia and atk for game. 6900 to 0
G2. He d draw malicious teleport dad otk =)
G3. I side in my spys and guard and end up drawing a spy opening hand. I set it with reckless. He summons stratos and it slams into spy for 200 I search guard. I play heavy he solemns. I summon gale he torrentials. I set bottomless and end. He sets another backrow. I play trunade he solemns again. I reborn gale and poke for 1300. He ends up scooping.
Round 7 vs Robby. “Blackwing”
Game 1 I opened with a good hand shura/kalut/gale/heavy/delta crow. I summon shura set delta crow. He goes brain bora gale double kalut for game. =) 0-8000
G2. Complete opposite of game 1. Basically a stall war. I had 3 spys and guard face up with oppression. He has 2 spys and colossal fighter at 1400. I end up playing cold wave summoning gale using its effect o cut a spy in half. Destroying a spy. using arcanite magician to take out his only trap and colossal fighter . his turn he ends up going his own arcanite magician and leaving me with nothing but my own arcanite but he has no backrow. I have whirlwind/shura/brain and reborn. Dsf alone would burn for almost 5000 that turn.
G3. I end up drawing kinda ugly. Gale/blizzard reckless/dad and bottomless. He pokes me a coulpe times with gales. I try to bluff my gale as a spy and but he attacks it =( I draw and set spy =) he attacks into it with shura and I get my guard. Next turn I go arcanite magician and dad to clear his whole field and leaves him with 1 in hand he just set a monster and I use dad for gg.
Round 8. Steven “Gladiator beasts” again…
G1. Im messing around I have 2 whirlwinds and got to search twice with both of them I go all out and he has torrential and force lol. So I end up losing.
G2. I get more serious and end up locking him down with oppression and otk him when I draw cold wave.
G3. He sides in d-fissure sets 3 and ends. I play heavy he negates with solemn I play allure get rid of dad since it’ll be no use to me. Summon kalut and atk for 1400. I set bottomless and oppression and end. He summons darius I try to bth he negates with solemn again. He atks for 300 and trys to tag I flip oppression. I end up beating him down with gale and kalut he got stuck with 2bth =). 7700-0
