Would you like me to help promote this. I've been considering both promoting this store and Ready To Play. I would like to keep YGO alive because it seems like it's been slowly suffocating in SC for the last year. I still have yet to come to the store so I think I might visit next weekend or something and check it out. It's quite a drive for me so that's why I've never managed to make the trek out. I'm on that side but I always seem to come on a day when the store is closed.
I'm hoping that our demise turns into a rejuvenation for this store and its Yu-Gi-Oh! community.

it would be much appreciated if you promoted the store and we'd be happy to have you mark we are going to hope for a much larger turn out ten we have been getting in the past few weeks because of lack of people, they have slowly stopped coming and i dont know why

You say YGO is suffocating in SC. In the upstate we're actually seeing a surge in players over the past month. Weird. Anyway I will put the word out about your store since I know some people down that way who are looking for somewhere to play.

It's the midlands area that is hurting from the game.

Exactly. The upstate has always had a better amount of player base for whatever reason (more hobby supporting stores? a closer connection to areas that support TCG?) We on the other hand have had a few places but they turn out to be wolves in sheep's clothing or just environments that eventually fail to things like stealing. All the BAM's in the midlands area have basically rejected YGO due to theft and a lack of organization on their part. Trust me, I've been trying to get places around to support games for years and they say "that's a good idea" and never do anything or they say "we don't know anything about that so we aren't going to bother with it."
I know there's a lot of kids around that still play and are interested but no one has a central gathering place so we're all scattered unless you're one of those people that can or will travel long distance to have a place to play and trade. The way times are right now with money it just gets really frustrating for a lot of us.

The Upstate only is doing good because we have the largest population in the state due to Greenville, and Spartanburg and we all support every store we can. Plus easy access to ATL and Charollette helps. We only got three places that throw tournaments now, but we'll see if we can get to Columbia everyonce in awhile but 100 miles is a long way. If you can throw 2 tournaments on a Saturday it would be worth it.
Also thanks for the Info Puffy.

Very nicely said man... I have done the same for the Florence area... It just seem to be a losing battle right now... I guess thats why. I have the best players from Florence on my team... That way I can get them out of the area to play again other players in other area and let them see whats out there....

No problem......
Additional Comment:
All players in South Carolina need to step up... We need a store in Florence and other lower parts of the state....

My team been to the upstate many times. It take us 2 hours to get there and we were planning to go up there. Besides the point, we need support for the game in the Midlands and the Pee-Dee areas. We are working for places to place a small-scale tournament but it's hard to find one in Sumter.

CornerMagic once and Tangle Web once.
Tangle Web doesn't do Yugi tournies anymore, and went under because of it.
Corner is still around and it's my main store. Right now I'm trying to get the owner to lower his prices on commons cause they're to high for crap cards.
WEB was replaced by Stage 21.
