Mew & Celebi?

my question is, where will we get Mew & Celebi? it's really bugging me right now.

Celebi: Obtainable on a Japanese bonus disc that came with Colosseum
Mew: Unavailable (was given out a while ago by Nintendo reps... Or something like that, I didn't get one)

For Mew, there was a glitch in Pokemon Red and Blue that modified your beginning pokemon into Mew. And it worked. Unfortunately,I haven't played Red and Blue in like 3 years, so I forgot how to do the glitch

I think you can only get it with the GameShark but you might want to check sites that have cheats

For Celebi- it's as doglover said. It's in Colosseum and caught at the Celebi shrine using the Bonus disk

Mew- Not even serebii has anything to say about how to get it..probably gonna be another Nintendo giveaway. Either that..or always use the good ole' AR/gameshark.

I thought you could get Mew buy going to the person in the building at the city where Erika resides(dont know what its called) and he says he give you something if you catch all 150 pokemon and its Mew but im not sure

Man, Mew will always be the rarest Pokemon to find in any pokemon game :) Its a fact of life :)

Yeah, but the only reason it's rare is because it's never available in-game. You always have to go to some random nintendo event that no one knows about and happens while everyone is at work to acquire mew.

Having pokémon that can't be caught by normal methods in-game is ridiculous, IMO.
AR is the best method to get mew.

Yeah I didn't find out about that Nintendo event that gave people Mew until LONG after it was over

Yeah AR is what I used to get Mew in the past. But I won't use my AR when I get Fire Red

I wonder that same thing..I have no idea. I guess it's an "Easter Egg" or something. It had no real purpose.

If you want to get mew with no cheating, there's always the infamous gamefaqs mew glitch (but it may require starting over).

As for celebi, without that bonus disk, the closest we'll get to catching it in the US is just seeing it on pokemon Collosium, but not being able to fight it.

The truck might have had some signifigance in the ealry stages of beta testing for the game. Maybe they had planned a level where the SS Ann came back and you had to surf to the truck to find supplies? At any rate, any signifigance that the truck would have had was probably dropped due to time restaints.

Yes that is the only way I could ever catch Mew without cheating. If the glitch is the same as the one I used, you have to restart your game. Because Mew will be obtained in the beginning and will replace whichever starter pokemon you chose

The glitch i used allowed me to catch mew right after nugget bridge (Hint: Use Abra to teleport right at the guy in the grass to the East of the Bridge see's you, then u can find a mew before nugget bridge if u do the correct procidure. (sp??)

I did that glitch today. However, I restarted since I couldn't catch Mew, and healed my Pokemon at a Pokemon Center. Then, I couldn't catch Mew anymore. Darn. :(

However, if you fight different trainers while using the glitch, you can catch other Pokemon like Lapras.

Hmm..that glitch allowed you the ability to catch other pokemon too!? Woah! But speaking of glitches...I wonder if Fire Red/Leaf Green will have the Missingno. glitch...it'd be stupid of the creators to make that mistake again

LOL! So did I. What I meant is the creators would be pretty stupid if they put that glitch in(when they were sure to delete it from Pokemon Yellow)

Go to Gamefaqs.com to the Pokemon Blue FAQs and look at the Mew Glitch FAQ. You can catch ANY Pokemon with the Mew Glitch and it DOES NOT replace your starter.. Just read the MG FAQ and you'll see..

the only plave i found cheats for fire red and leaf green is www.gamewinners.com but it had nothing about mew.
